Have you any idea what Vanderbilt's alumni endowment is? They can pay whatever amount it would take. Whether they will or not..... is something else.

This makes more sense this year with Marshall leaving than in years past. He had alot of talent coming back when we were hiring. He just lost all of his best players. If he is leaving it will be this year. The next few years will be rebuilding years and he knows it. I say he probably leaves this year but I am not sure it will be to Vandy.

The place that hired Derek Mason and put up Stallings for 17 years? That alone tells me they won't put out big bucks for anyone.

These are not "normal" times in the Vandy athletic culture. I would not disagree that they probably won't pay "big bucks", but, you posted that they can't and that, my friend, is incorrect.

If King Rice is hired by Vandy then I think many Vandy fans will be disappointed. They want away from the Stallings era all together and I think the smartest and most realistic hire for them is Will Wade but if the talk shows are correct then he isn't interested right now. Will be an interesting next few weeks. Let's hope the hire doesn't work out.

Rice has one twenty win season in five years. He's trending up but man that isn't a home run hire.

When I searched "Gregg Marshall Vandy" I saw nothing that confirmed his hire up until this point today. I saw where he was on their Big Board but that's as far as it went.

One boosters plane in the vicinity of his town and people automatically assumed there was a connection...it made almost zero logical sense but I guess that doesn't matter.
