Grider and Gruden

Ill agree this likely points toward Gruden getting back into coaching. I think it's in the NFL however. I would love him here but I think he's an NFL guy.

This. Why would Hart go on the rejection tour if he has Gruden sewn up?

To create and fill a specific timeline, likely agreed upon by both parties.

Gruden said give me three weeks and UT said yessir.

"Coaching search" takes focus off JG in meantime.

It's either going to be the most epic end-around I've ever seen or the exclamation point on the most inept coaching search I've ever seen. For all of our sakes I hope Hart's really just trolling everybody to buy time.

This is why Grudens agent basically insulted the Grumors last week by calling them Fantasy. It worked. It threw a wet blanket on the Gruden fire..

Well, the blanket is gone now... Gruden 2013!!!!

Look, I'm not even sure that I believe it will be Gruden. I have no idea what to think at this point, BUT how do we know Hart is on the rejection tour? Word out of Louisville is that Tennessee never made an offer to Strong, and that the only time that they met was Sunday. Also, Jalen Ramsey had a tweet the other day saying something along the lines of how change is good, especially in Tennessee's case. Someone then asked him "are you feeling Strong?" pretty clearly asking if it was CCS and he replied "nope". I'm just connecting the dots here. Also, does anyone else find it curious that in all of the time that Hart had to do interviews and find a coach only 2 were seriously talked about or even interviewed? Something doesn't add up

This is becoming a headache. What ever happens it better be good or im one of many watching from home next year. I'm spending my money with no regrets here on out. I'm thinking a bigger television instead of season tickets if its a bad hire

Not just some HS coach. A championship winning coach. Not just some HS coach. A highshool coach who is also a friend of Grudens and has great relationships with HS's all over the state of TN, North Ga, and North Alabama.

Grider will not be a coach for Gruden, but I could easily see him working as a recruiter of some sort.

According to Twitter, if you search Vic Grider many tweets will come up pretty much paraphrasing what McNattVol is saying. All saying that the step down was unplanned and questioning why he would step down from the perfect coaching situation unless it were with Gruden, at UT

The information fits oddly together and could explain this bizarre coaching search.

im from south pittsburg, something major has to be in the works for vic to step down, he was a 2 point conversion away from winning the state championship this year. which in another story they did get but playing on the enemys field blinded the refs so they just had vision problems on that one play . he makes state runs ever year, all the hoopla sounds nice that hes would quit to go to work for for gruden. who knows, saban said no way and i mean no way will i be the next alabama coach. so maybe vic and jon have something planned. we can only hope . acutally vic would make a good recuriter for tennessee, he knows talent and how to recruit.

Last year (freshman year) I played football at Bethel University. Three of my closest friends while I was there all played football at South Pitt under Grider. I had seen the relation to Grider and Gruden posted somewhere so I called them to see what was up. I don't feel like typing out the entire conversation, but the two of them that I talked to said that I should have kept the faith when they told me to a week ago. Right before we hung up I asked one of them if he had talked to Grider directly and he said, "I wouldn't steer you wrong. Just trust me." If you don't believe I know anyone go look up the 2011 Bethel Roster and see the SP players on there. Also I should be easy to find seeing as how my last name is in my username. I honestly don't know what to think anymore, but I do trust their word and will see what happens. Hope this helps fellas.

McNattVol, I will say I believe you. For reasons I do not know if it is alright to go into detail online. Long story short, I know right where BU is and many of the players on the list. I am from a city pretty close to the one BU is in, very close. I also know that the city BU is in played South Pitt a few years ago and lost to Grider. I was a student at UT at the time, but it was huge news since it was a school we play every year. I will give you validity for anyone that doubts your story.

Either way this stuff is fun. Of its all a big coverup and Hart gets Gruden then he has successfully pulled the wool over ESPNs eyes.

Actually he would be a great recruiter during the down period. He currently isn't a coach or on anyone's staff. He could just casually go around and contact players for JG to let them know he will be at TN.

I still have serious doubts about Gruden, but I'll admit these Grider and Carter resignations are strange. If it is Gruden, I'll freely eat crow. We'll see.
