Talking about Fulmer's coaching is one thing, taking shots at his weight and such is another.

We don't allow that kind of stuff from opposing fans who troll the site and I don't see why we should allow it from our own either.

its going to be really tough for several people to mention Fulmer and not mention buffet, Krispy Kreme,pumpkins, or doughnuts. They have almost became synonymous.

That's the reason I did the support thread for Coach Fulmer.My guess is VolNation is one, maybe the top posting board representing the Volunteers and people get wind of it, and they start reading post about fat coach, etc., I mean it's silly.We're suppose to be a Pro Vol board.At least this is my take of what's taking place.

Fair enough. There's one guy here that gets underneath my skin, but I'll exercise some maturity and ignore him.

I really don't have anything against the other people that support Fulmer. I fully understand where they are coming from and they are reasonable people. I take exception to when people call someone who disagrees as an anti-Vol. It's the same argument as saying someone who doesn't support Bush or Clinton as anti-American.

Anyway, my apologies for making it personal. There are many good folks out there who root for the Vols but are on different sides of the issue. We (myself included) need to realize this.

The childish "Fat" comments are probably my biggest problem with any poster that takes a "NegaVol" approach. It's not just here either. I've seen it allowed on other Vol boards, which is one reason I am here now.

I don't have a problem with people disagreeing with me, or my views, and I don't have a problem with people not liking Peach Bowls and 8-9 win seasons. I just think it's silly to allow it on a Vol board. If we were an "SEC fans" board, it would be different, but this is a by God Vol board, and I want some "Home Cookin"!

I agree. I'm down with open discussion on any and all apsects of Tennessee football and other sports. However, though I don't know the man, it sounds like CPF is a good man and really, his weight has nothing to do with his coaching.

good posts guys. I think you all understand what I mean. I never want to discourage people's opinions. I just think all the personal stuff starts detracting from the board.

I have to agree with OWB about the personal attacks on Fulmer. I don't allow it from rival fans so we should not make exception for our own fans. I think it makes us look bad.

why do i have the feeling if we go 5-6 next season you will be calling for a certain head coach's head on a platter.

That very well could be, but I can do that without taking personal shots at him. Besides, we're not going to have another season like that.
