McDaniels gets rave reviews from everyone I've ever heard talk about him....

Of course Weiss got rave reviews as well... Romeo was a little more under the radar and he's the one with success so far.

i think mariucci is a definite upgrade from mora or fassel. I think McDaniels would be an interesting hire. Wouldn't be upset with either of these at all.

I think Snyder knows something if he was just willing to drop Williams like he did.

Hmm... Long two day, 18 hour interview by Snyder means he was a real possibility. I give him huge props to be able to turn down Snyder $$$. I guess that leaves us Fassell.

"Lamonte, by the way, insisted that Spagnuolo had a great meeting with Snyder and that his withdrawal had nothing to do with any misgivings about the Redskins organization. However, several people in the Giants’ organization had warned him about Snyder’s meddling ways – as evidenced by the fact that the Redskins’ offensive and defensive coordinators have already been hired – and the fact that the ‘Skins are currently nearly $20 million over the projected 2008 salary cap."

Nobody wants to coach the skins with Snyder around, and also have to deal with the cap. Snyder isnt looking for a coach, he is looking for a fall guy.

My optimistic side has me thinking that he is looking for someone to fill the void as HC due to the already hiring of OC\DC, then the next year bid big for Cower.

I just realized that even if I win tomorrow night's $150 million lottery, i'm only like 1/8 of the way towards buying the Redskins from Dan Snyder. Anyway I can quickly turn 1.5 million into 1.2 billion?

they were talking on the radio this morning about Ocho Cinco wanting out of Cincy and coming to the skins.

The Washington Post is reporting that the Redskins are interested in a trade for Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson.

The Post cites two league sources saying Johnson is eager to land a hefty new contract from Washington. Number 85 has made it clear he doesn't want to play for the Bengals anymore but coach Marvin Lewis says they have no intention of trading him.

However, the Post says Johnson's agent is working quietly to broker a deal.

I would have no problem with Johnson coming to the Skins. We need a more consistent downfield threat.

i could handle Ocho Cinco in Maroon and Gold. I can't handle a qb coach getting a promotion to HC though. That is going to take a long, long time to digest. It must suck to be Jason Campbell right now.

listening to the process was just :blink:. They brought him into the interviews for OC. Got that job and so he came in for meetings with the staff the next day. He walked in wearing a Skins polo for the mtgs, they asked if he'd like to interview for the HC job and had him go home and change into a suit for the interview. (hope that makes sense, it was a little tough)

Hmmm, this trade is actually a good idea and something I have been hoping for all season. He is the best WR available. Ocho Cinco could look good catching TD passes from Campbell

Interesting article about the how the skins are going to shave $16 mil off the cap. Some OL guys gone, all WR except for Randle-el and Moss are gone, also some D guys going to Jacksonville with Williams
