I would be laughing at the season the skins are having, but as a Cowboys fan, I have felt their pain and then some. And I can just see the skins getting it together and having a spectacular game starting just before Thanksgiving.
What really angers me is that I cannot mock Cowboy fans and the Jerry Jones situation without feeling like a hypocrite.
really really bad news
Report: Washington Redskins' Chris Samuels may sit rest of year - ESPN
I hope he is going to be okay
Washington Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels will retire because of a severe neck injury he suffered in Week 5, according to a report.
League sources told The Washington Post that the six-time Pro Bowler shared his decision with some members of the team after consulting a specialist in California.
Samuels suffers from stenosis, a narrowing of the spine that caused him to wear a neck brace for extra protection when he played, and was already dealing with significant knee pain all season, according to the paper.
"I feel bad for the fans," Snyder said, according to a transcript on the team's official Web site. "I feel sorry for the fans. And we're very, very appreciative of our great, loyal fan base. And I'm understanding. I mean, we just feel terrible. We're disappointed, and we're embarrassed. And we hope to get it going soon. We're disappointed
"It hurts," Snyder said. "I mean, it really hurts. We are really trying very, very hard. Everyone at Redskins Park -- the coaches, the players. The organization's really, quite frankly, held up well.
"And I think we have an opportunity the rest of the season to hopefully get it going. But to date, we've let everyone down -- including ourselves. We know that. We're just apologetic."
This thread is dedicated to all you Cowboy fans out there, especially milo and IBO24/7. How about those Redskins? :dance2: :moon2:
The Dallas Cowboys struggled on offense all day -- and were at risk of being shut out for the first time in the history of the storied rivalry. But Tony Romo & Co. came up with a late score to sneak by the Redskins, 7-6, Sunday at Cowboys Stadium.
Washington place kicker Shaun Suisham was perfect on field goal attempts entering Sunday's game, but his misses in Dallas proved costly. Suisham missed a 50-yard field goal attempt with 7 minutes 6 seconds remaining in the game. The kick, which sailed wide right, would've made it a two-possession game for the Redskins.
"We have a really weird deal going on right now with the kind of rotation of who calls the plays, to where it goes, to who gets it and how it gets to Jason," said Cooley, who was placed on the season-ending injured-reserve list Monday. "It's almost unheard of. And the funny thing is the last couple weeks the offense has looked better than it has."
Schein pressed Cooley for a more detailed explanation, which he gladly provided.
Okay, so what goes on is our coaches sit together at the beginning of the week and they design a game plan," Cooley continues. "All the coaches design the plays, they all have different responsibilities. Some coaches have third down, some coaches have the passing game, some have the red [zone], and then they all get together. So then what happens is Sherman Lewis, who is our offensive consultant [and play-caller], will install the regular game plan and then we go practice that. And then on Thursday, Jim Zorn will install the third down and then he'll also install the run game. And apparently, because I haven't really been there, is that Sherman Lewis never talks to Jason Campbell throughout the week.
