It's official.....the Redskins are the most dysfunctional franchise.....starting Rex Grossman over McNabb.......I'm am 100% dropping the Redskins......I cant root for a team this retarded......WOW
right there with you, im officially done for good. tired of watching this poor pathetic franchise trying to field a competitive team in the NFL. its not gonna happen for another ten years. so im done, had enough, cant take it anymore, plus i love my VOLS and college football better anyway.
Jay Glazer of FOXSports reports that Dan Snyder is not happy as he was out of the country when it was decided that QB Donovan McNabb would be benched. After an efficient game against Tampa Bay, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said that he was upset with McNabb's performance and that it was the last snap that McNabb would take this season. Shanahan pushed and eventually got the benching to occur. Glazer reports that Snyder may make major coaching changes however as he is not happy with the way this situation was handled.
I'm scared. Really scared. I might be siding with Daniel Snyder on this one. Has Hell frozen over?
These words came from Sonny Jurgensen, and were delivered on ESPN 980's pre-game coverage. They came when Sonny was asked about the benching.
"He wasn't performing, and at practice, he'd never practice hard, and I think that had some bearing on it also," Jurgensen said. "Because Shanahan's a stickler for practice, working hard in practice so that you carry that over into the game. And he never could get him to go 100 percent in practice, and that's what he wanted. You talk to people in Philadelphia, and they say why didn't you see this coming, why are you surprised. Because the Eagles had seen it, and they traded him within the division. And so why are the people in Washington surprised?"
This didn't exactly come across as a hit campaign. Jurgensen had high praise for how McNabb handled the benching, and said he understood why McNabb would be angry. But still. "never could get him to go 100 percent in practice" is not a strong endorsement.
