Saw 2 kids tonight in the chic fil a parking lot wearing these costumes. I miss my kids being young, getting all dressed up and excited about Halloween.

How many did everyone have tonight? I had 220. I keep up with a pitch counter. I had 2 dads tell me 1 of their kids were too scared to come up to the house so I gave dad the candy bags. I had 3 parents drag crying kids up to the house because the parents wanted to get a closer look at the props. My goal is to give the kids a fun scare - not to terrify them. 5 out of 220 isn't bad. Oddly it's not the little ones that get freaked out. All 5 tonight that were terrifed looked to be 10-14 years old.

1 little girl - maybe 8 years old - was fascinated by the zombie graveyard. She went into the graveyard and was touching them, especially the one with the red circle below. The latex heads feel pretty realistic so she was squeezing his head until her mom told her they needed to go. It was pretty funny.

The cold and wind definitely kept down the numbers last night, more like 1800-1900 than the usual 2000+. We even started handing out 2 pieces at a time just so we could go in and thaw out, and we wrapped it up around 8:40. Then we went inside to be with 6 reveling millennial parents and 5 over-sugared, exhausted kids ranging from not-yet-2 to 7 years old. Whee!

I found a pair of stick-on boobs on the dining room table, presumably from the parent who came as Dolly Parton...

I couldn't get away to take good pics and some didn't turn out, but the numbers picked up as it got darker. The parents got restless and bailed early, lol. I didn't even make it off our property to say hi to our next-door neighbor. Some more blurry pics:
