Halloween Thread

Pretty sure I had Dan Lanning and his boys at my house last night for trick or treat. I know he lives near by and it sure looked like him, it was just a bit dark. You know, parents out in the street watching the kids go up to the door for trick or treat.
next time you see him, tell him Gomer Pyle says "Hey"

Wanted to add a witch this year. I have 4 or 5 different masks but decided to go with something green. Not sure why. I guess the only green witch is the Wicked Witch of the West but kids are probably most familiar with her so maybe green will make sense. I have 2 masks I'm thinking of going with. This first one has a scarier expression but may not look as much like a witch. But the hands do match the face color better.

This one looks more like witch to me but not as scary and the color green doesn't match the hands as well. But I can paint the hands to match.

Which looks more like a witch?

My kids got me this mask for Father's Day so I made a prop with it. It doesn't look full on zombie to me. Maybe more like something you'd see in The Hills Have Eyes. Maybe a mixture of bad genes and radiation? It struck me as maybe an inbred butcher. I put an apron on him which I will splatter with blood and add some bloody hand prints. I'm experimenting with arm positions. I'm going to have him holding some combination of a lantern, a cleaver, a butcher knife or a decapitated head. My kids think a bloody pig head is the way to go. This is my 3rd new prop for this Halloween. I'm considering adding 1 more - a skeleton covered in radioactive sludge standing in a garbage can overflowing with sludge. I'd add radioactive warning signs and paint the sludge with fluorescent paint and put a blacklight spotlight on it.

The lantern doesn't light up enough at night to show his face so I'll have to have a spotlight. So no reason to have the lantern. I tried a pigs head and a cleaver. Put some bloody hand prints on his apron. Will splash more blood on. Gotta fatten up the arms.

Something I've been working on this week. A skeleton in a barrel of radioactive waste. All fluorescent colors. Hopefully it will glow under a blacklight spotlight. The only neon spray paint colors at Lowes were yellow, green, pink and orange. Yellow is a good color for a barrel. Green for radioactive waste. Pink to maybe look like a skeleton that is glowing hot from radiation? I have a 50 watt blacklight spotlight ordered and will post another pic once I get it. The colors are bright and the prop will look decent during the day and hopefully at night under the blacklight.

I saw this pumpkin mask on Amazon for 20 bucks and had to have it. It wasn't advertised as a Trump mask - but look at the hair - that had to be what they were going for. It's creepy and funny. I had to make a prop out of it. I took a Walmart 29 dollar skeleton - painted it orange - gave it the corpse treatment - and added the mask. I may put a red tie on it when I display it on Halloween. The kids won't get it but maybe the parents will.
