I'm just glad the defense has shown up so far this year, otherwise this game would've been a nail biter until late in the game. 7 turnovers are hard to overcome. Our offense struggled to move the ball in the first half. It'll take a much better effort to win the Oregon game.

I was one of the few worried about this one. I thought it would be pretty close and then we'd eventually put them away. Those turnovers were huge breaks. Offense looked atrocious until the 2nd half. Glad to see us get a 32 point win though. Next Saturday will be rough.

"I'm BlueHalo. I found Fade's thread intriguing enough to click on it and reply, therefore I should shut my piehole".

There were lots of people picking us to lose this game. We just saw how that turned out. The offense today...not so good as we'd hoped but we moved the ball and scored when it counted most. The defense...decent but we still have to improve against the run. I think this year I could easily accept "however we can get the win". At least we have a little consistency on both sides of the ball and even more importantly a coach that can coach and motivate. Cheer up and enjoy.

This just infuriates me about the staggering level of incompetence of last years coaching staff.

So, you also believe that without turnovers UT struggles to score in the first half. Here's a thought...UT opens the 2nd half with two straight long TD drives. Cough, cough.

"I'm fade. While the rest of you must talk about the game in one of the mass threads, I believe that my opinion warrants a new thread. Also, I'm not completely wrong because there were more turnovers than anyone could have predicted. "

I thought this game would be closer and without all the first half turnovers by WKU, it might be. But those are part of the game so I can't use that excuse. I still think Worley is awful and does not have an SEC arm or accuracy. I can see why he wasn't highly recruited. And we're still getting throttled by Oregon. But really happy with the win.

We won 21-3 in the second half. Forget the turnovers in the first half. We won both halves by blow outs.

I think you presume that without the turnovers UT doesn't do anything on offense in the first half to score anyway.

I think that was such a bizarre game that it's almost impossible to know what would have happened if WKU hadn't committed a once in a lifetime number of turnovers. I think it's safe to say we wouldn't have won by 30 though.

I'm impressed with the job we did in the second half to clamp down on the chaos. That's a credit to Butch Jones. But ye gods, WKU couldn't have been worse off if their QB had been deliberately throwing the game.

Should have been 52-10 (mostly because i predicted it to turn out that way in the prediction thread), but ill take a 32 point win anytime.

Oregon's D is not very good...UVA is driving on them again...we may have a shot to at least keep it under 14 or even single digits...

EDIT: UVA has horrible play calling...4th and 4 and they throw a quick lateral to a receiver 2 yards behind line of scrimmage...smh

I appreciate what you are trying to say, but I say phooey with all of the "ifs and buts." The scenario cannot be reframed and recast so easily.

I must not have been watching the same game as the rest of you. I don't recall WKU committing a single turnover. I did see UT's Defense cause 7 turnovers though.

I didn't once see one of their running backs just drop the ball while running it. Never once saw their QB look to a UT defender and throw it to him.

People need to stop calling them breaks for us.......our D caused each of those.

Fade,

With that you are getting blocked. I'm tired of your bull ****. You can't say one good thing about this team without three negatives with it.

How do people like that call themselves fans. Sure if you were an analyst it would make sense to think like that. But as a fan? They're is a difference between being realisticand being a ****tard..

Turnovers were good, but knee the ball when you intercept it in the end zone, unless u have a straight shot to the other end. Running it out never made for better field position. Except in this case, he ran it out to the 24. Never say never.

Proud this D played with confidence. AJ got burnt a few times, and Oregon will attack the middle with with short dumps all day.

Worley looked Better in the second half with the second team WRS in. Maybe it's not all his fault, but he lacks arm strength for sure and needs to not panic when pressure comes. Ala his int.

Backs all looked good and strong. Penalties were low again, that's a plus, and the line did its job. No sacks im pretty sure. One for 2 yards.

All in all, not what I was expecting, I thought it would be closer. Good job Defense. Way to earn a lot of respect back off a realky dynamic offense and one of the best backs out there,

Overall, a good outing. Worley can show the throw on a rope, but he needs the confidence to do so.

Ok. Sorry you feel that way. I just give my honest assessment, so if it gives you that much heartburn, then yes, just put me on ignore.

Come on. If that's all it was, then with all the grotesque mismatches in college football, you'd see 7 turnovers all the time, but you don't. Alabama didn't cause 7 turnovers against Georgia State. They caused one against Western Carolina. They didn't cause any against Florida Atlantic. Etc. You don't get 7 turnovers without a whole crapton of good luck going your way.

Fade's a decent poster. He just whines a lot. A whole lot.
