Don't have to have a cannon. Jesus, Look at Milton. All these guys are doing is throwing dink and dunk then throwing up a prayer. Even without the threat of him running, I'd bet this offense would GO just fine with Harrison

I liked Dobbs as well. He was routinely savaged on here when he was here. While he was definitely not a polished passer, he won us so many games single handedly

hooker looked better than milton but still turns the ball over 2 much...bailey in this system probably not a good fit but still better than what we have.dont see how you can run this offense w/o hitting the deep ball or at least mid deep on target.think out best q.b. is riding the bench...you know the guy that chose to be here..seems like a raw deal to me.

This is exactly what scares some of us. Many thought that bringing in Pruitt would improve our defense, but by year 3 we were still losing by 30 plus points a game. But he coached at Georgia, Florida St. and Alabama as a defensive coordinator and had 5* talent all around him. Now, Heupel didn't have 5* talent at UCF, but he Maybe he had what he needed to have the success he did. Maybe he isn't really a quarterback whisperer. Maybe he had Drew Lock at Missouri and just went down hill at UCF after Scott Frost left. Setting a record for penalty yards in this game with 3 turnovers lost the game, but his offensive abilities are absolutely in question. That scares us.

He didn’t start from the beginning last year because of Covid and him missing a bunch of practices, so essentially he didn’t get the opportunity from being out. Once he had a grasp of the offense he played more. You’re honestly telling me that you watched the spring game and his performance regardless of who was on the other side and didn’t think he could do it? This year he isn’t starting because Heupel wants to play “his” guy. You can’t believe that from what we have seen from Milton, that he just destroyed the other two in the fall who had more experience in the offense from the spring.

No way any sort of coach with ANY SORT OF FOOTBALL IQ....starts Joe Milton...and expects any other result.

This is the same **** we’ve watched with Guarantano for 4 years. It’s not even funny anymore. This is just gross mismanagement and incompetence.

My only debate to what you said is that through Heupels own admission he has never had a true duel threat QB and the announcers last week even said it. If that is the criteria he is looking for that’s a new one for him and he might want to reevaluate that idea. Success is the passing game will open up the run game, leading to a lesser need to have a running QB.

For the 100x, Heupel is not playing our 2 worst QBs and making his job harder on himself. There is no grand conspiracy. If he thought HB gave him the best shot to win, he would play him. Period.

Two different coaching staffs have thought HB is NOT the answer at QB. And truth be told, we saw a lot of that last year. He threw nothing but check down passes and the offense was simplified. Vandy played with like 40 guys and could have canceled because of COVID. He got destroyed in every other game we played.

Harrison Bailey should be the 3rd string QB this year and develop into a future starter at UT. I hope he only plays in mop up time, because I think that's where his abilities currently are. He isn't yet good enough to carry the team on his shoulders. Hooker is probably that guy now, but if not him, I hope Milton gets his long ball figured out. I will enjoy seeing Bailey play in 2022 or beyond.
