Don't have to have a cannon. Jesus, Look at Milton. All these guys are doing is throwing dink and dunk then throwing up a prayer. Even without the threat of him running, I'd bet this offense would GO just fine with HarrisonWhat Happened to Jancek he tore it up in the spring game.Yamcey would too when o went.I promise it’s smoke and mirrors. He’s got a weak arm.
I liked Dobbs as well. He was routinely savaged on here when he was here. While he was definitely not a polished passer, he won us so many games single handedlyI liked Dobbs. If Dobbs had a better team around him on O and D, Dobbs probably wins more games as a QB than any other QB in UT history besides Manning! I would love to have Dobbs now. UT wins today and probably wins 8 games minimum with Dobbs running Heupel's O!!!
Say what you want about HB and Milton and Hooker but the coaches have the ultimate call on who starts. The thing you cannot deny is that Heupel has had great QB play everywhere he has been. He knows how to coach QB's. Last year with Pruitt I felt that JG never got any better.
He didn’t start from the beginning last year because of Covid and him missing a bunch of practices, so essentially he didn’t get the opportunity from being out. Once he had a grasp of the offense he played more. You’re honestly telling me that you watched the spring game and his performance regardless of who was on the other side and didn’t think he could do it? This year he isn’t starting because Heupel wants to play “his” guy. You can’t believe that from what we have seen from Milton, that he just destroyed the other two in the fall who had more experience in the offense from the spring. Two different coaching staffs decided he wasn't the answer. Heupel went out and recruited two more QBs once he saw Bailey in practice. If we're ever down to our third QB we'll be happy to have him, but nothing he's shown to either coaching staff has shown that he's starting material.
You think beldar was a coach? Two different coaching staffs decided he wasn't the answer. Heupel went out and recruited two more QBs once he saw Bailey in practice. My only debate to what you said is that through Heupels own admission he has never had a true duel threat QB and the announcers last week even said it. If that is the criteria he is looking for that’s a new one for him and he might want to reevaluate that idea. Success is the passing game will open up the run game, leading to a lesser need to have a running QB.I have no idea what’s going on with the QB’s this is just my opinion. So this and $1.00 will get you a cup of coffee. So here goes.
Personally, I think HB takes some of the QB run threat away, which in turn would completely limit CJH’s offense and the way he wants to run it. This may be way off base, but it’s my opinion. I think HB is hands down the best passing QB that I have seen play personally. Granted, I haven’t got to watch JM or HH much at all. Saw more today about those 2 than ever. HH looked better than JM to be also if that matters. Sloppy play, and bonehead penalties are hard for any team to overcome to. CJH got some work to do for sure. I thought the defense played extremely well today myself to. The offense didn’t help them very much though I though. Realistically, Tennessee should’ve been up 28-0 after the 1st quarter, this based completely on JM pissing receivers running wide open, and him overthrowing them by a minimum of 5 yards or more.
Heupel is a moron. Seriously. Let’s start the get ready to fire Heupel stuff moving.
No way any sort of coach with ANY SORT OF FOOTBALL IQ....starts Joe Milton...and expects any other result.
This is the same **** we’ve watched with Guarantano for 4 years. It’s not even funny anymore. This is just gross mismanagement and incompetence.
Play Harrison Bailey you idiot.
I can't believe I have to continue to post the same thing over and over again for you HB cultists. Do you ever stop and think before you write? Think about what you are alleging when you post this nonsense.
For the 100x, Heupel is not playing our 2 worst QBs and making his job harder on himself. There is no grand conspiracy. If he thought HB gave him the best shot to win, he would play him. Period.
Two different coaching staffs have thought HB is NOT the answer at QB. And truth be told, we saw a lot of that last year. He threw nothing but check down passes and the offense was simplified. Vandy played with like 40 guys and could have canceled because of COVID. He got destroyed in every other game we played.
