It's 100% calculated/orchestrated. No different when the news about Pruitt's violations was leaked. Someone within the Auburn AD wants him out.Ironic this just gets out day after signing day? Every kid they signed should sue Auburn. Everyone there knew this was going on and this was going to happen most likely.
It's an Alabama effect for sure. Auburn has been nuts for a long time, pre-Saban. Their issues don't seem to blow up as spectacularly as ours do, but I think they have been crazier for a longer period of time than we have. The Saban effect
I agree, but what an idiot. The girl is definitely good looking, but you can’t do it. Or if you make that choice you end it quickly, don’t bring her across the damn country.

Until Auburn offers a coach, pulls the offer due to Twitter outrage, fires an AD in the midst of the coaching search, Tommy Tuberville returns as AD to finish the search, the coach Tubby hired is fired after recruiting violations are leaked from an internal source, and then "steps down" in disgrace, Auburn won't be as dysfunctional as us.![]()

Perhaps, but remember we still don't know the ramifications of making that information public. I don't think anybody would say they miss Pruitt as HC, but the leaking of the info aired a lot of the dirty laundry and could invite the NCAA in.I agree with much of that but getting rid of Pruitt was functional, not dysfunctional. Hiring that SOB was dysfunctional

The public airing of dirt, even if it got rid of a terrible coach, it still is indicative of a poorly-operating organization with a lot of infighting, like a dysfunctional family airs all their dirty laundry.
There's no way the received it from UGA. Why would they help us out like that?It was going to come out at some point. UT Compliance received the information from Georgia's program. It wasnt an internal coup. I beleive the administration had enough of Pruitt (he was a constant "bitcher" about everything) before that but receiving that from a fellow conference member was the last straw......and should have been.
A friend of mine who works for Farm Bureau Insurance in Knoxville told me that Pruitt was doing a speech with Farm a few years back, and after he did his talk he came up to the CEO of the Tennessee Bureau and laid into him and cursed him out for not helping more with the Alabama Tornadoes . Moron. What a clownIt was going to come out at some point. UT Compliance received the information from Georgia's program. It wasnt an internal coup. I've never been convinced that is the case. The story goes that Amarius Mims was offered money from UT, UGA discovered this during their own recruiting of him, and reported it. Well...Mims committed to UGA, not UT. Does anybody think Mims turned down money from UT to play at UGA for free? The procedure is schools report violations they discover to SEC office. Maybe the actual report to UT came from the SEC office but the report did come from the Sims kid telling Ga what he was provided when he visited Tennessee and what he learned from players here. REmember, Smart and Pruitt despise each other. I would never doubt that Smart/Ga would investigate Pruitt's recruiting, especially in Ga, by asking their players what they learned in the process.
The reason it is handled this way is for schools to be aware of issues so they can be addressed before they are blown up in the media (smart).

If Mims was offered money by UT and ended up committing to any school other than UGA, then I could see UGA turning it in. But not when he ended up committing to their school; it raises lots of potential questions. Wouldn't common sense dictate you turn in potential recruiting violations about guys who don't play for your team?
