I think Sunseri poisoned any notion of UT hiring yet another Saban assistant coach. Hiring Kirby Smart would not be advisable.

Already posted this somewhere else...my guess is he's already talked to Jimbo Fisher at FSU. The two have a history, even thought Hart left the year Fisher arrived (2007).

Fisher would bring Eddie Gran back to K-town. And we would probably do well recruiting in FL.

Just hope whoever comes keeps Jay Graham and maybe even Pittman.

what is the over/under that Hart has a new coach hired BEFORE Dec 1? if they go to desperation mode and just PICK someone to come in and take over this team we are royally f***ed next season and beyond!! BUT if they take time and look at all the candidates on the list and see WHO would be the best fit to get this program back to winning then things will be good. If we get an unproven coach for next season, home games MIGHT not be very full, and then after a bad season we will be going through all this s*** yet again!!!

Hamilton used high-priced search firms to find coaches. Hart seems like he's using his experience and network to find the next coach. I prefer Hart's method, just on general principle.

I'm quite confident that the word has been out for some time on the back-channel grapevine to Hart's targets.

But he'd better get this right or he'll probably be gone too.
