I never said there was a source or that he was the next coach i said that it sure as heck sounds like hart is doing this one all by himself and i have a feeling he may help out his fellow bammer if he can't get gruden or peterson from boise. hart and sunseri are best pals.

I would hope to think Hart is smarter than that.

Up to this point, He hasn't really proven to be a moron as an AD. He did not hire Dooley. His only real bad move to this point IMO is to NOT have anounced firing DD earlier.

He would have to truely be a REAL MORON to hire a HC based off of helping a buddy out. He knows his azz is on the line with this hire.

JMHO though.

Does anyone have a status update on the Reanimate the General Project (Code named: Zombie Neyland)?

Perhaps they'll mention it at the press conference. "Zombie Neyland will be fully operational, and will begin kicking a$$, and taking names as the Volunteers new head coach by December 1st"

It means work has been going on behind the scenes by folks that count to secure candidates to pass to Hart for approval. Like Gruden, Mora, Patterson, might be in the mix. I doubt Smart or Golden are in at this point. I hope not. This way Hart is not a liar when he said his search started today.

Hart made it clear in the presser he's not hiring an assistant and the coach had to be moral and ethical to stabilize the program. So, not gonna be K.Smart, B.Petrino, J.Tressel, or B.Davis!

Good grief folks....I thought that this comment by Hart was interesting too but little did I know that his conference would be parsed and evaluated by so many psychologists, mind readers, and lords of the grid iron.

I think if you really listened to the conference you would have heard him speak to the disadvantages such as the academic qualifications, the reserves, and the overall university's perspective on the program. He also spoke highly about our advantages such as the facilities and rich traditions of the program.

Look, I get that we have been through several changes in chancellors, directors, and coaches. I get that we have had some bad experiences from Hamilton and Hart is certainly no Hamilton. Hart is methodical and sometimes we have a hard time dealing with his timing but Hart is very smart. I am impressed with Hart.

He didn't fire Dooley without booster influence, and he won't make a homerun or even solid hire without booster influence.
