i agree with the op. These are some bland ad-speak comments. This guy doesn't sound like someone who is ready to go out there and woo a great coach to come here. This is a guy who either has his guy or is way behind and over his head. We'll see.

wtf?

He sounds like a bright guy with a lot of class. I think his comment about not using a search firm is very interesting. That makes me think they've already got their coach.

According to BR. Harts man is Kirby Smart. If this is the case Hsrt should be fired right now! Smart is another Dooley without head coaching experience. Tennessee is not a training ground for Saban desciples Horrible idea. If true Hart must go

Another plus, while talking about "hard to compete with a 1.9 million reserve against schools with 50-100 million reserves".

And "things on the academic side being taken care of to make us more competitive."

He just shot that idea down.

I've been around some top notch, high-management folks in my career and DH seems to espouse the same ability to answer questions with enough meat to answer the question without being out-and-out deceitful and still hold his cards close to his chest.

He's doing the job I would expect him to.

Bingo-there it is. No search has begun! We're at ground zero.

Even had the search begun and have been over with, he is obligated to say its just begun because we can't search for another coach officially until Dooley was officially fired. In reality, he has been fired for two weeks and you can bet they have done their shopping

1) I doubt that UT has done no legwork thus far. He can't come out and say they've been talking to people for weeks. He just can't.

2) He just fired CDD...we are no longer at zero. We have to be a little bit higher than that.

"I have a level of expertise, and I have a level of information that nobody else has." -Dave Hart.

That's where the rubber meets the road. If we were at ground zero, I would expect him to have no information. He said that very confidently that gives me the impression he's been talking, analyzing, and thinking about this for a while. He's working it. Give the man time.

He fired Dooley. As far as I am concerned, he is doing a great job to this point. I look forward to see who he hires.

This program is in good hands. I listened to every word Hart said and I was impressed. This guy knows what he is doing. I kept thinking of Hamilton (not a fair comparison, I know) and what a completely different league Hart is in.

Hart has been around. This ain't his first rodeo. He has a network and he is going to use it -- not go out and blow huge amounts of money on search firms on experiments.

If you're a big-time HC, you could come in and respect this guy. I could see any of the names being mentioned feeling comfortable calling this guy "boss."
