The irony is, that this is the most educational response you can come back with, funny stuff
The irony is you saying that you aren't defending him. You've fluffed Martin's ass more than any poster on here. It's pathetic, but has been mildly entertaining as hell the last 3 years. When he gets his ass canned, you'll be bawling your eyes out while everyone else is rejoicing.
It's as if Divine Intervention was trying it's best for us to win the game but Martin still figures out how to lose a close game. If I was Barton, I am giving Martin the silent treatment for a while. Poor guy has been in the slumps for the second half of the season and he finally nails a game winning 3 that he would have remembered forever if it were not for one incredibly unorganized and dysfunctional coach.
It does matter. Martin called an excellent play, it was executed to perfection, got the wonderful foul, and Stokes didn't finish it off. He makes that, you wouldn't be on here complaining.
Was that the secondary play drawn up or was it gut reaction once the first 3-4 seconds worth of looking didn't work out as planned? We may never know. The original plan was not to go to Stokes it may have been the bailout though. We almost got a 5 sec call for the 2nd time in the last few moments. Luckily we had a TO the first time and got it in the 2nd time.
Congrats for being clueless...A timeout is the right thing to do in that scenario. Maybe Martin should give Barton the silent treatment for going mia for several games.
If that was the play, why was it the 3rd or 4th option. If it's the play, make it the first option. The inbounder looked everywhere and Stokes made his post late. Actually a defensive lapse not to front him. Good job by Stokes seeing an opportunity and posting his man. I'd bet my mortgage CM didn't call that last play for a post under the rim from the side.
Kind of what I was getting at. The play definitely looked like it was initially designed to start on the perimeter. If that was the designed ending we got lucky it didn't result in a 5 sec call because it sure developed slowly.

I didn't say it wasn't the first option, Martin actually said that was the first option. The passer looking elsewhere were look offs I would presume.
He said there's multiple options for what they need in that spot, in that spot a 2 was needed so option 1 was stokes.
I've watched the count, he just started 4 when josh passed. I'm guessing they've practiced the play and timed it before.
