HBO's "Game of Thrones"

I'm not going to say how many times I've watched Breaking Bad, but it is several.. It isn't just a TV show, it is a work of art. Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston were flawless. It is at the top of my favorite list with Mad Men and the X-Files.
Watching it again also illustrates how the writers/creators knew where it was going from the beginning. Not that they didn’t change up when it was warranted. For example, Jesse was originally intended to die during the first season.

Definitely, I'm really, really glad they kept Jesse around; he was my favorite character by far.
I also wish all series' writers would have a set number of seasons in mind before the pilot even airs. Keeps things from dragging out and makes for a better story.

Like the British. They know how not to run it into the ground.

10 days and counting and the big premiere was last night at Radio City Music Hall.... so you can expect some spoilers to start popping up in various places (if they interest you).

For me I don’t want any spoilers. So heads up. Please don’t post them in here without a spoiler tag.

First time I've come to this thread in over a year at least I think. This place was spoiler central for the longest.

Anyone else watched each season like 4-5 times now?

Spoilers have been out for a while now. Episodes 1, 2, and 3 details are up on a stickied post in the r/Freefolk subreddit.

If that's your cup...

Interesting tidbit that I didn't know until yesterday... Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Ygritte, the red-haired wildling girl, (Rose Leslie) wound up getting married after meeting on the show. They were at the premiere. I wonder if she ever tells him "You know NOTHING, Jon Snow!" when he fails to perform to her satisfaction?

Rewatching Season 1 - the scene where Tywin Lannister is introduced is so perfect. Field tent for the army, he's field dressing a stag (House Baratheon) from while explaining to his son the importance of family legacy over self importance. Ruthless efficiency.

I have always been impressed with the casting. Actors seemingly born to play their parts and family members who really do resemble each other (except for Sansa and Arya) ... for example, Robb (Richard Madden) and Jon (Kit Harrington) really do look like they could be brothers. I used to get them confused in season 1.

Cept they’re cousins. 😉

Just re watching the series before the final season. I still get a kick out of little fingers ending. The holy crap look on his face was priceless.

Agreed. Having him trying to speak with his throat cut was a nice touch, like he thought he could still talk his way out of dying.

Glad it's coming back on but hate to see it end. It's been a great ride even thru some slow parts.
Now if those pesky books can just get finished,,,,,

Properly done, the offshoots (prequels, sequels et al) have endless source material that’s only been hinted at imo.
