HBO's "Game of Thrones"

I think part of my disappointment is they left so much on the table. So many things that could have, and probably should have, been explored. I agree that even though I've still been entertained, at some point the writing got lazy. They pulled back on the incredible intricacy of the earlier seasons and made it seem more rushed.
well, the previous 7 seasons were a build up to this season....not sure how much more intracy is needed, unless you wanted to explore the reason why the wights were created, and ultimately what their motivations are?

and we already know at least part of that story.

i thought tonight they did a good job of drawing on the blackwater bay episode, and the eventual twist that was the expected hero wasn't the hero, though apparently many already knew about aya?

either way....i liked this episode A LOT. you lost some main characters, though i thought for sure a couple more would get the axe. Brienne i'm talking to you.

and i didn't necessarily expect teh wight walker war to be over in one battle.

but good grief, i was thoroughly entertained.........great episode.

Cersei has dragon stoppers and the walkers were strolling through Winterfell like they ran the joint. If the good guys had men left that wouldn’t be possible right?
Dragon stoppers ain’t worked yet. The wights don’t need much to slip into areas, so their activity level isn’t an indication. Dany’s huge advantage was the Dothraki calvary and the Unsullied...they both got jacked.

yup. and the 20k cersi got from the bank and Euron's fleet are looking pretty tough to beat now.

Well, now that the battle with the NK is done, will Jaime return to Cersei?

Great episode - the last 20 minutes took forever.

I agree with GV - sun up will reveal who died; I'm sure we lost more characters.

Beric D. was dead before NK did his raising - presumed we'd have to see the Hound and Mel dealing with him but I guess they just ignored that bit.

Sure thought Bran had some bad ass defense but I guess he did in his sister (giving her the knife). I believe she took out Littlefinger with that sucker too so not only did it come full circle from the assassination attempt but also from the guy who set it up and ultimately was the source of almost all the warring since the show began.
