HBO's "Game of Thrones"

Exactly what I was thinking.

There is one Dyer wolf left in the wilderness also.
Was honestly expecting them to come with the full might of Mother Nature's creatures when the wind (Arya flying by the White Walkers) picked up at the end before the Night King bit the dust to help get the W for the living.

If they are following any kind of pattern, watch Sansa make a play for the throne. (theory)
well, if you believe the Jenn Oldstones song in the last episode was some foreshadowing, and you pay attention to how Danerys reacts to Sansa in that episode, you can make a case that based on the fable the song tells, a targaryan turns down the thrown for true love.....

so, maybe danarys sees more of herself in sansa and wants to stay with Jon, and turns her support to her?

thin....at best.

but plausible......among many other things.

JMO, but if they weren't so rushed to tie everything up and end the series, they could have really fleshed out the battle with the Night King into something mind-blowingly epic. It's not that I didn't appreciate this episode, but I guess I imagined something much grander, with more twists, and tying in more to the whole "prince that was promised" thing.

I'd suggest watching season 1 again. I'm picking up a lot of stuff there that's foreshadowing the later seasons. Sansa says "all I've ever wanted in life is to be a queen!" to her father.

Seems like everything that's happening now has been hinted at in the past seasons.

The Night King being evil for evils sake was lazy as hell.

Duncan Targaryen left the Iron Throne for Jenny of Oldstones (and gave it up to the Mad King's father, I believe). Both of them died when Summerhall burnt down. Rhaegar was born just outside of Summerhall when it was burning down. Rhaegar is the father of Jon.
