HBO's "Game of Thrones"

From the looks of things it wasn't HBO. It strictly falls on D&D from everything I've seen (obviously I'm sure there's some spin on things at this point).
HBO has some skin in the prequel series..I have a hard time believing they wanted this much backlash. If D&D really screw the pooch anymore than they already have...

Told you guys...and I hope that it is true. Errybody is gonna be ticked..except for a few die hard apologists and people that just don't really give a crap about good storytelling.

I thought a couple of weeks that maybe the leaks had some deliberate misdirection, but so far they have been in the money. I do think that the final ending may work out differently because they reportedly filmed several different endings, and maybe the leaker got the wrong one. I hope not at this point.
You tend to pigeonhole when you personalize your resentment. Majority of my issue with your rants is because of said tendency. I neither apologize for the show nor disregard good storytelling. I do see things differently...as is my right. Doesn’t make me a barbarian because I disagree with your all or nothing decree. Loved Seinfeld...ending was garbage. Liked a large portion of Lost...crap ending (all personal opinions). Didn’t make the whole shows suck by association. Some disappointment with the storyline but no regret watching the thing from beginning to end. I’ll stop responding to you so you can finish that blanket.

Figured that would cause you to bark..😁

It's hard to say. I doubt the number crunchers were upset about paying Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage a million per episode fewer times . Given that D&D are about to embark on a trilogy in the most toxic fandom in movie history, I have a hard time believing they would phone in the last two seasons of the biggest show on TV. Maybe they are idiots. But, I guessing there is something else at work.

It's also possible I'm grasping at straws because I was looking forward to a good new Star Wars trilogy and this doesn't bode well.

Exactly Butchna. I dont regret watching and reading it if I dont like the ending and I'm for sure not call people names or put them down if they dont like it.

It would be ridiculous to think that HBO would be eager to scrap it's most watched show of all time.

Rewatching the show, the only thing truly off is the speed in which we got there. The book prophesies are great, but some were never shown on the actual show. Dany supposedly loved her brother but she didn't feel much when he was killed in such a horrific way. One guy called her a bitch, she burns him alive.. she locked her handmaid in a vault to die. Hung the masters up at slavers bay. We overlooked it, because they were seen as bad or we didn't care about those people like for example, Margery. Cercei- Dany not that much different, just got the Dany sympathetic POV. Maybe George RR Martin lesson is in war (and politics) people often only see one side.

Dany also fed and bathed filthy plague victims when none of her people would..Cercei never gave a flyin fart about anybody but her kids. Bookies know this, and show only's don't..those kind of compassionate acts by Dany, which are many in the books, are why a lot of us are calling BS on this story.

This show could have stopped after episode 3 and I would have been happy. Inadvertently caught supposed leaks on a podcast and got to say me no likey
It's already impossible for it to end how I would have preferred, so I'm just going to take it in without any hopes or expectations for it being anything memorable. If they have cheated their audience with an inconclusive winner for the throne? So be it... It still beats what the NBA playoffs have become.

So since everyone is crying about what could be...what would evreyone want to happen? What ending would be ok?

I'm fine with the direction they've taken. I just wish they would have developed it better with the 7 episodes they cut out.

They needed a lot more than that. At least 10 episodes going for 10 seasons imo. Parts of season 6 started feeling really rushed. Season 7 and 8 are way too rushed.

To do it properly sure. But I think they said 8 seasons a couple years ago. I at least with they had used all the episodes instead of hurrying it along. It really feels like they just want to wrap it up as quickly as they can now.
