HBO's "Game of Thrones"

Saddest to me was Dany. All she went through and in the end to lose her sanity.
Was she really insane, or did she just follow Olenna's advice and go full ruthless Dragon? I think people are missing the distinction. The show seemed to try to have it both ways. Aerys was insane, he had hallucinations and heard voices..there was zero indication of that from Dany...ever....ever. I don't think she was crazy. This is why I have had such a meltdown over this nonsense...it makes no sense to me. She didn't go Hitler crazy, she went Uncle Joe Stalin ruthless.

Shouldn't have beheaded her handmaiden. That was the trigger.

manic would maybe a better way to put it for Dany. when things were good...they were great. when things were bad....people gotta die. big swings on the emotional pendulum......

Like killin John Wicks dog...bad mistake..
she was already at the edge....she had to be talked out of laying it on KL before that anyway.

that just made it to where she couldn't be talked out of it anymore......in other words, i don't think that event triggered her..she was already triggered lol. but it was the last straw.

I don't think they were intending on making it seem as if she were insane. They did a lousy job of selling her breakdown.

Before KL she looked like she hadn't slept in days and might be falling apart. But in the finale when we finally see her after laying waste to KL, she seemed her mostly normal self except she made her intentions known that she was pretty much declaring war on the entire world under the guise of "breaking the wheel." Jon Snow/Tyrion/ect saw in KL how she was willing to "break the wheel".

If GRRM has even come up with what the significance is, and told them that, they probably decided to save it for the spin-off that's probably about the NK and events surrounding him when he was created.

You know honestly I wish Jon had never told Sansa or Arya he was Aegon. It lead no where and really seemed pointless to the story, overall. Dany seemed to completely forget about it by the end anyway.

It legit only served one purpose, a reason to eliminate Varys which you didn't since he was already switching his alliance to Jon anyway.
