Fair enough answer, and at least it's an answer. The other guy was just saying if you lose you're out, and that's incorrect.Caleb Williams had 400 passing yards and 5 touchdowns with 0 interceptions and 50 rushing yards in the loss to Utah.
Hooker laid an egg and didn’t throw a single touchdown in the loss to Georgia.

Both losses and one was to the top team in the county. The other blew chunks against sun belt Billy. Stroud put up lots of numbers against subpar teams as well. HH didn't get thoseYour point? One player had extraordinary numbers in a 1 point loss whereas the other player **** the bed in what was essentially a blowout.
Utah doesn’t play defense, Georgia has the best defense in the country, but yeah, act like those are the same thing.
USC played 0 good defenses this year.
That's a fair point as well, heck, Florida beat Utah. I sincerely don't think the voters look at body of work, as much as it's a popularity contest. A few weeks ago all the commentators were talking Stroud and Hooker, that was the two guys everyone said were going to win. Now that USC is in the playoff mix, and an old media darling, their QB suddenly is the favorite.Utah doesn’t play defense, Georgia has the best defense in the country, but yeah, act like those are the same thing.

Explain "keeping it real". Because he lost two games? Seems like rg3 had 3 losses when he won the Heisman. Plenty of other winners where their team had losses. So why should Hooker be punished for a loss, and not then, when it's an award for individuals.
Someone needs to explain to me why a guy who was among the 2-3 favorites all season, put up ridiculous numbers, was instrumental in resurrecting a football program, and missed only one game is now eliminated from consideration because he suffered an injury. If Hendon Hooker doesn't at the very least get an invite to NYC the whole thing is a complete joke.
Who gets to go to New York? Caleb Williams, okay, he's your winner at this point. But who beyond that? The kid from North Carolina? The TCU QB? I mean, seriously, is there anyone that would have touched Hooker had he not gotten hurt? And yet I keep reading that he 'lost his Heisman chance' with the injury. Ridiculous.
I’d say because every Heisman race is unique. Don’t think trying to compare RG3 or Johnny Manziel to Hooker is quite apples to apples, though everyone loves to cherry-pick anomalies to bolster arguments. Take off the orange glasses and it’s fair to say Hooker was 80% done after the Georgia game. Had he beaten USC and not gotten hurt, all things stay the same with Stroud and OSU, and Caleb Williams not beat UCLA the way he did he likely pulls it off. That would make sense if it wasn't for what I stated in my post. Just trying to understand the logic, how come it only applies to Hooker, or Stroud, but nobody else in the history of the Heisman?
I’d be really surprised if he got an invite. It’d be great and he deserves it but everyone outside of UT fans have basically forgotten him already. Stroud and Williams take two spots. The other two likely to be Duggan and Stetson Bennett . And I’d expect them to rush Bryce Young into the race before inviting an injured Hendon coming off USC and not far removed from UGA.I think he’ll get an invite. It’s clear Williams that will win though.
Just because you start arguing sarcastically in black and white doesn’t mean he ever made the argument “any loss disqualifies you from winning a Heisman trophy. “ He said Hooker had mostly lost his shot at the trophy with the UGA game. He’s right. Just how the cookie crumbled this year. He had no big games left to make a climb back to number one and stroud seemed in control. Turns out OSU chokes but Caleb Williams is on fire. If UT had been looking ahead to a conference championship game then the outlook may have been better after the UGA game.So to use your own stupid logic, Shroud is automatically out as well correct? Caleb Williams is out too, right? Only players from undefeated teams are allowed to win the trophy, correct?
