Whatever it takes to motivate is fine by me.

I don't care if Butch promises them a bus load of virgins if they win a national championship. I will personally help determine the virgin status of the females on the bus. :D

How about rename it, get this, the student section.

AD at Cincy has commented that he is happy that they are not getting new euphemisms every other day.

Maybe we should do a contest to see how many CBJ will come up with this year.

Funny thing is, the last time I checked this was a chat board; so it appears that I won't be going anywhere.

The team doesn't need to have a new slogan everyday to be motivated - they should be motivated by the fact that many of them have gotten their tails kicked around for a few years.

Slogans and euphemisms get old when over done - they lose their meaning and just become noise.

Do you think he's overdone it? I don't.

Getting your tail kicked for years won't motivate most. It'll just demoralize you. All these kids know is how to lose which means butch has to try extra hard to instill the winners mentality back in them. You have to believe you can win before you can consistently win. You have to believe in yourself before you can improve yourself. Butch knows this and he is trying hard to instill this mentality back in the kids.

Giving the student section it's own name gives it a sense of pride and ownership. Think "Cameron crazies" or as we are called at Carson Newman "Mossy Creek maniacs" it's something fun for the kids. I don't understand why you would get upset at that.


TLDR: butch gets it.

Tell that to Bruce Pearl's first team at UT. I did not hear him spouting off a new catch phrase each week. Ask any Cincy fan about CBJ's use of slogans, catch phrases and euphemisms.

Cameron Crazies is taken and has been around for years - to name the student section is in my opinion copy catish.

Back in the day the student section would rock, heck the whole stadium would rock, but then again we had something real and tangible to cheer about; winning, hard nosed football.

Why do you care? If it bothers you that bad then just don't watch or listen to the games or CBJ when he speaks. Some of you people would find something to ***** about no matter what.
