Has the go fund me site been closed down? If not, would you post a new link? Link on OP says "campaign can't be found". Thx.

The hits keep on coming...

So...bad news today. Ashlee's 6 month appointment revealed that her head was larger than it should be. Not much of a surprise for my side of the family but, apparently it could be an indicator for improper blood flow through the ventricles in the brain. We had an Ultrasound on her head and, turns out that's exactly what it is.

We have an appointment with a Nuerosurgeon tomorrow to discuss treatment which could include placing a shunt in her brain.

So possible brain surgery now. God apparently thinks my wife and I are superhuman strong because...wow.

Hang in there. Prayers as always.

Will continue our prayers for Ashlee, ob! Stay strong for her. May God put His healing hand on her and comforting hand on you and your family.

OB,

You and your wife are superhumans with God as your partner. Rely on him. I know it isn't as easy as I make it sound but he has your back. Trust in him. I'll keep you, your wife, and the rest of your friends and family in my prayers.

So sorry to hear the bad news. Our prayers for strength and God's healing power continue.

Once again guys, my wife and I thank you all for your prayers. We'll know more once we talk with the neurosurgeon today but, from the sounds of things, it's not as serious as her heart condition. However...it could still involve brain surgery to correct the issue. The fact that we're meeting with a Nurse Practitioner instead of the MD is somewhat of a decent sign. If it were more urgent, we'd be meeting with the MD or a team of them, trust me.

I don't mean to downplay the situation but, I'm trying to stay positive. Your prayers are appreciated as always.

Thanks all!

You will always have my prayers for your little girl and your family.

Hello all...

So Ashlee's been admitted to Vanderbilt, awaiting an MRI in the morning. The neurologist admitted her so we could get that done asap, not because it was an emergency but, once we get the results, they're going to decide the course of action to take, be it surgical or otherwise. Hopefully, it's nothing more serious and we can nip this in the bud quickly. We will know once the MRI is read in the morning.

While we are still talking brain surgery here, apparently the recovery time is often a week or less so we will hopefully keep our stay short this time.

The docs are consulting with her cardiologists as well, just to ensure everything we do is safe for her aorta and heart.

Aside from them sticking her to place an IV, she's been great today. She only exhibits one, maybe two symptoms of her condition and both are fairly mild. She's always been a happy baby...that helps me, which in turn helps my wife.

Thanks for your prayers.

...also, send up a few for a UT win this weekend. God, that'd make this week so much more bearable.

Love y'all. GBO!

From my wife today:

Update 10/21/2015: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

Thanks to my wonderful mother in law for the verse today. MRI is complete. They have found a benign fluid filled cyst next to the pituitary gland that is causing the blockage of CSF that is causing the dilation of the ventricles in turn increased inter cranial pressure. She will go to the OR in the morning. They will make a small incision in her fontanelle (soft spot). They will go in with their baby brain tools and drain the cyst. The neurosurgeon stated that this is the best treatable surgical option she could have. If all goes as planned, she will be back to the room in a few hrs, repeat MRI on Friday or early Saturday and home by Saturday afternoon. We are relieved and a little nervous for surgery tomorrow but we know that all is in God's hands. We ask prayers for a routine operation and recovery. Pray for all the hands that will care for her precious body and brain. God bless you for your continued love, support and prayers.

From me:

Thank God for good news. Go Vols, beat Bama!

Praying for a successful surgery. Go Vols.

Surgery was successful. We've had some issues after but are trying to get them under control. Mostly with pain and nausea.

Baby, mom, and dad are tired.

Will update with more soon.
