OB must be getting some much needed sleep. Mrs OB texted me this morning that she woke up smiling. Doing good.
Glad for you brother. Continue to pray for MRI tomorrow.
I worked at an after school program while I was at UT. I started with a 3rd grade class, and moved with them till they all aged out in middle school. On my first day, this little blonde girl buddied up to me and gave me the full rundown...good kids, problems, etc. She instantly became my pet. I got to be good friends with her whole family. She was a little angel.
About 2 years in, I was chatting with her mom on a Friday and she said "it's amazing how far she's come." I had no idea what she meant, so she explained how ill her daughter was for her first 3 years. She had a lot of pictures similar to Ashlee's. Her mom told me about ordeal after ordeal, but slowly they got her on track...
That girl is now a wickedly smart, sweet, beautiful 20 year old studying design and marketing.
Yall will be ok.
Hey OB, good news on the MRI results yesterday?
Yes...the Neurologist really liked the results they got and discharged her from the hospital about 1230 yesterday. We were home in time for kickoff.
Among echos of the heart, she'll also have regular MRI's of her head to monitor the ventricles.
She's in good spirits as always and extremely happy to be home. She laughed when we put her in her crib last night.
Thank you all for your prayers and concerns. You're all awesome.

Back in the hospital for another surgery. Ashlee began running a fever a few days ago, took her to the MD, said it was likely a virus but we needed to consult with Neuro. They weren't in office this week and suggested we take her to Vandy ER and have her checked out.
Long story short, they're going back in to clean out her incision site. Her white count was elevated but, thankfully no bacteria was present in her cerebral fluid so they have her on IV antibiotics for the time being to stomp out the potential for more infection. The biggest risk is spinal meningitis.
Really tired of these updates. Hopefully, prayerfully, this is the last one.
Prayers appreciated. She'll be going back for surgery in about an hour.
