Praying as well, bro. Praying you continue to find your hope in Christ, comfort and peace to you and your wife, and healing for your beautiful daughter. Remain steadfast.

Well, we got the news that we were expecting yesterday. Miss Ashlee will have her second open heart surgery, seventh overall (lucky number 7, we hope and pray), on January 11th.

Here's my wife's post on the matter:

Update 12/18/2015: “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts. To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.” Proverbs‬ *21:2-3‬ *NKJV‬‬

We talked with the doctors today. We will follow up with the cardiologist the end of December and have an ECHO. Then, on the morning of January 11, our sweet Ashlee will have her second open heart surgery in hopes of repairing the aorta completely (this was the first available surgery date). We hope and pray this will be a shorter recovery bc she is healthier, stronger, and they are just repairing one vessel instead of 7 things in the heart.

We were expecting this after this week's hospitalization but it is a tough pill to swallow. Please pray for our sweet girl and our family. I will update with our appts and of course, the day and week of the surgery. I want to thank all of your for the support shown over these 8 months. You guys have made life a little easier. Thank u for your continued prayers and God bless every one of you this Christmas season.

Still praying for you OB. I hope your family is still able to have a merry and joyous Christmas and that this will all be a distant memory by next Christmas.

Keep us posted.

We will pray, believing this will be the last big step to a victorious beginning of such a precious life. Your life no doubt has been a constant trial, your strength and courage show us what really matters! We will lift her name in prayer and look forward to the day Ashlee comes home with mom and dad, with no more trips to a hospital. I thank God above for your family and pray for your strength to finish this journey!

Morning VN,

Quick update...

Miss Ashlee will have her second open heart surgery this Monday. Overall, she's really doing well, it's just that her aorta requires another open heart procedure to fix the coarctation once and (hopefully and prayerfully) for all. Otherwise, she's healthy and eating like a chunk. :)

I'd be lying if I said my wife and aren't worried or scared or going through every emotion imaginable, the closer it gets here. As usual, however, Ashlee and our other two girls are in great spirits and consistently cheer us up. They're all troopers.

I've prayed so much, I don't know what else to pray for anymore, other than my little girl finally being completely healthy and free from surgeries.

You all have been...well, honestly there's not a word big enough to describe how great y'all have been to us. Just...thank you.

All I ask is that you please pray for my beautiful baby girl and our family as we go through this together.

Thanks all!

OB

OB, I'll keep on praying for you and especially your sweet girl. I pray that God gives y'all release from this and that Ashlee gets to be freed once and for all to live the rest of her life surgery free.

As always, prayers sent!

And, if it helps (and it did in my time hearing others stories) my daughter spent many, many months in 2 NICU's and many follow ups for months afterwards, and today she is a beautiful, bright, healthy 7 year old who is the light of my life. Prayers brought such comfort into our lives and I witnessed many a miracle from them.

Stay strong, and in a few years down the road enjoy those tears of joy you'll shed when your beautiful pride and joy does something that melts your heart. No telling what that event may be, but believe me, everything you're going through now will flash back and its truly a transcendent moment. We're all with you, again, as always!
