Y'all have got to be one of the strongest families ever. You faith in God and perseverance through everything is inspiring. We will continue to send prayers up for Ashlee and your family.
Believe me, I'm not nearly as strong as you might think. I've had some very weak moments over the last seven months, especially this latest bout but, I've never lost faith. I've been mad and I've asked why over and over, feeling simultaneously guilty, but...never lost faith.

Man...my wife went to school with your sister. I actually met her a long time ago. I remember you posting something about it last year. I had no idea it was the same person.
My wife always said she was one of the kindest persons she's ever met. Looks like you two were a lot alike.
Well, it's that time again, friends.
Ashlee has another, hopefully her last, heart cath in the morning. She's been doing well since our last stay, no Neuro problems whatsoever. The shunt in her brain seems to have been a success.
Now it's time to fix her aorta again. They believe she'll just be in the hospital overnight and we'll be home by Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully and prayerfully that happens.
Prayers would be appreciated.
Thanks, VN!

Through surgery and we're ok.
Good news is, she's better now than when we came in this morning. Bad news is, we're coming back. The aorta is still depressed to the point where the balloon has essentially become a temporary fix, it just keeps tightening back up.
So...they think another open heart is the more permanent solution. They'll likely want to do it soon too, like "a couple of weeks." However, this time she won't need to be here as long, possibly home within 4-7 days post-op. So...she's better but not fixed.
While we might react differently later on today, I'm surprised at how well my wife and I are handling this. Like, we were both like..."ok, fine. Soooo...when do we come back?"
Power of prayer.
