I was comparing past qbs during the game and was thinking Josh Dobbs could probably slide in this same spot and do just as good if he had the protection and the crop of receivers we have today. The edge goes to Hooker because of his running ability where he doesn't just get you a few yards to keep the defense honest---he goes for 1st downs most of the time juking and turning just like a running back. He's a complete package. Can't wait to see him in the pros.

No disrespect to Dobbs but Hooker is on a whole different level as a passer.

I would probably agree giving him the edge. But Hooker missed at least 2 wide open TD's and I can't remember Dobbs having this much talent in the receivers core. Hooker is a stud and a shoe in for the Heisman

Maybe so. But Hooker didn't throw into double coverage in OT vs A&M

Dobbs never showed that he could hit the throws Hooker does consistently. Loved watching him and he was a beast but Hooker is on a whole different tier than him throwing the ball.

Hooker is on pace to be the best quarterback in Tennessee history, with all due respect to Peyton. Just look at his stats. The crazy TD/ interception ratio, the most yards per game, yards per attempt, QBR, etc. He's just been fantastic. Obviously he's not going to have played here long enough to set most of the records, but still just one of the best to ever do it.

If Hooker beats UGa this year, give him the belt as the G.O.A.T. He's already beat Fl, LSU, and Bama.
