Here Comes the Recession

Heh. Not necessary. No rose-colored glasses here.

Our Worst Crisis Since 2008… and We Have an Idiot at the Helm
Trump offers nothing but bigotry, ignorance, and pathological narcissism.
Real objective author of that article, which I will not read based on the title alone.

Who is he trying to convince, you?

Sounds like Obola dropped the ball, why wasn’t he better prepared to help this administration? He had eight ****ing years and maybe if the dems hadn’t been on a impeachment drive for the last three years it could have been addressed more significantly.

Not sure I agree with writing the people checks, hell a lot of people are already sitting home receiving checks

Cool story, bro. If we're no longer worried about deficits, then yeah, let's just have Trump mail each of us a check for $100,000.00 and we'll quit work, and observe social distancing for the next 3 months...

...then vote the idiot out of office in November for bankrupting our country.
To care about a deficit you first have to care about a budget. He's sly

Testing is inconclusive for those showing no symptoms, The last thing we need is a bum rush of everyone to get tested who are showing no symptoms.
l have yet to see a panicked or blaming liberal who understands why the CDC and health departments have been limiting testing. It's like they have no concept of logical critical thinking

I have mixed feelings about this:

1) I don't need a check for $1,000 to pay my bills.

2) I acknowledge that due to the virus may other people will.

3) If the Feds do this, I will get a check just like everybody else.

4) In a sense, I wish we had time to make such a grand gesture more surgical. Send the checks to people who work at restaurants or on airplanes. But that would take a long, long time, and we don't have it.

5) If it works to help stabilize the economy -- hopefully as we see the number of cases stabilize -- then I feel like the benefit will outweigh the cost.

6) But, $1,000 will barely keep most people going for two weeks, much less three months. Rent, alone, for a month is going to be more than that for a lot of people. So I doubt its effectiveness past the 2-3 week mark.

But, but.... SOCIALISM!!!

Just when you do it Trump, how's about in exchange you shut your big, fat pie hole for 24 hours straight. No stupid tweets, no attacking everyone, nada!

Fair trade.

Yeah, you aren't going to get a peep out of the board regulars who identify as GOP on that one. Although it is the ultimate example of socialism to do this.

I don't think it's going to be $1000 per, I am thinking $2000 per person.
I guess the thought is just get us a month-ish and we should be past this nightmare. I still don't know that I can agree it's the governments job to do so

It's not exactly the same but it does show they have no problem with big government when it works to their benefit.
