Here is the cold hard truth

Could be a sign they practice slug ball.
Need to speed it up in the gym.

I said immediately after the game it appears to me that we don't practice transition defense, atleast not much. Like you said, pick it up in the gym on defense, practicing slow tempo d isn't gonna help hen we start trying to play uptempo.

Also like to see him bench Kenny or stay in his face.

Rob Lewis made a good point the other day, not an excuse, but something to be considered...

Kenny was continuously having to help out on the guards, they were continuously beat which led to his man getting open and many out of position fouls. He probably was getting pretty frustrated that the guards couldn't keep their man out of the lane, may be why CCM wasn't too harsh on him.

Hall has been playing great, Stokes has been a bit of a disappointment but he is being double or triple teamed every play.

Probably hurt him and Stokes. 4 of Kenny's 5 fouls were trying to rebound. He would have to leave his man that blew by Skylar and Golden. He was then out of position and over the back fouls when going up for rebounds.

We were an NIT team last year with Maymon. There has been no improvement in Stokes game since last year. At 6'-8" Stokes will not be a dominate force under the basket because he plays below the rim. He is not quick off of his feet nor does he posses great jumping ability. Plowing into somebody and throwing the ball up at the rim is not offensive skill. They need to help him develop the 10-15' game and add the 3-point shot to help his overall game.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt by calling him Wayne Chism without the jumper. He actually lumbers up and down the court and moves much slower than I remember from last season.

There will not be a 3 point shot in Stokes' game- just not who he is. He will have to hit the 15 footer to play at a higher level.
