Here it is. Non existent antifa takes over Seattle neighborhood. No police presence

How about this, since the cops aren't allowed in, tell any citizen who wants to go in and take these blocks back from the antifa democrats they will get a full pass for anything they do while in those 6 blocks?

How about let the people that live in those blocks deal with them?

I don't have to. The Seattle Times is confirming that a group of protesters, some armed, have taken over several blocks of Seattle, declared themselves autonomous and free of Seattle, blocked off road access, refuse entry of police, and are making demands.

It's pretty much everything I've read at least. The only thing missing is confirmed reports of extortion. Its been rumored but nothing official.

Not a single mention of ANTIFA? It seems your argument depends on that key detail.

You might want to re-read the article.

It's not just CNN, no one is covering it that I could find other than right wing media..............which makes you wonder.

They didn't show the deaths, beatings and most of the looting in the streets either but it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I am beginning to think maybe you are that naive. No wonder you're liberal.

I did. I will change that. We probably do need the guard if this continues though. It's obsurd.

If they are harassing or extorting people the cops need to go in and put that **** down with a hammer. If not leave them alone, the residents will eventually get tired of them and run them off.

I think we both know the police have almost been rendered powerless in that city. It's a shame. I expect many to quit.

Wounded by my fellow posters' continued inability to discern fact from right wing propaganda? You betcha.
What are you talking about?

Seattle police want to return to vacated precinct in what protesters call an 'autonomous zone' - CNN

The point you took issue with was the claim of occupation, and the fact that they built walls around their new autonomous zone. That is not right wing propaganda.

Sounds pretty stupid.
I tried to find info on it and found nothing but right wing sources.
But to the degree it's true, they're crazy, but still not as crazy as Trump

If...if this group was to become violent and they begin to resist the law of the land, the city of Seattle, state of Washington and the Federal Govt. have the right to put it down. This is the Whiskey Rebellion 2.0.

They are already breaking laws. Not sure why a state is pacifying them.

Getting close to time for Trump to pull a Lincoln and we need to take it all the way when we do go into Washington state because Oregon and California will follow. The rest of the leftist states will get the message.

He doesn't need to activate the guard. There are many a citizens that would love to do it.
Now I hear that they have appointed a leader of CHAZ and a general to command their armed insurrection.. I’m wondering if they’ll pick grey uniforms just like the Confederacy. Bitcoin can be their official currency.

So it's a peaceful protest? That's not what the right wing is saying.
The have taken over 6 city blocks, blocked them off and have antifa democrats guarding the entries with guns. It's only "largely peaceful" because no one has attempted to shut them down. And when a radical governor says about antifa idiots "largely peaceful" that means they has been plenty of stuff that hasn't been peaceful. These thugs need to be sent packing

So it's a peaceful protest? That's not what the right wing is saying.
The mayor sounds like she's a bit premature in communicating that. From the right wing fringe outlet, CNN:

Officers are still responding to emergency calls in the area, Nollette told reporters.

Nollette said police had received reports that protesters allegedly set up barricades, " with some armed individuals running them as checkpoints into the neighborhood."

"While they have a constitutionally-protected right to bear arms, and while Washington is an open carry state, there is no legal right for those arms to be used to intimidate community members," Nollette said, adding that anyone subjected to these demands should call 911.

"No one at these checkpoints has the legal authority to demand identification from anyone."

Nollette also said police have "heard anecdotally" of residents and businesses being asked to pay a fee if they want to operate in the area. "This is the crime of extortion," Nollette said.

Couldn't tell you. It seems I've run out of articles I can view on Seattle Times without subscribing. Plenty of other places mention it though. Wouldn't surprise me. As for being Antifa or not it doesn't matter to me. The claim was made that the story is fabricated and that's why it's not being covered.
