I don’t think Doeren wants any part of that Auburn job. He and Harsin are kind of cut from the same cloth. I don’t see him leaving a comfy job in Raleigh for that pressure cooker on The Plains. I could see him in a job similar to Stanford, but is Shaw’s seat hot? There’s no way Stanford wants to fire Shaw. I don’t think they would get rid of him unless they absolutely have to. I do not envy these PAC-12 AD’s trying to replace head coaches right now with so much uncertainty going on w/ expansion.I think Dave Doeren will be a candidate for the Auburn,Colorado and Stanford head coaching jobs
The Coaches Hotseat website has Stanford head coach David Shaw #2 on their list.I don’t think Doeren wants any part of that Auburn job. He and Harsin are kind of cut from the same cloth. Auburn has been the way it is for a long time, but I think what their people tried to do to Harsin last offseason laid it bare for the whole country to see. I think there are basically no current P5 HCs and not that many G5 HCs (at least the ones who are at good programs) who would take that job. The salary differentials are not what they used to be, and Auburn is a toxic environment.I don’t think Doeren wants any part of that Auburn job. He and Harsin are kind of cut from the same cloth. I think the guy who runs that website is bipolar. His commentary below the hot seat chart at the top of the page is unhinged a lot of the time. I also seem to remember in 2013, after Alabama lost the Sugar Bowl to Oklahoma and was already coming off the Kick Six loss, he put Saban at #1 on his hot seat. After he had won 3 of the last 4 national championships. Just stupid stuff. That’s the worst website on the internet. They’ve proven over the years that they don’t know ****. Stanford is not going to fire David Shaw.
The Yellow Wood Guy who's a big money Alumni of Auburn started that in the early 90s.Auburn has been the way it is for a long time, but I think what their people tried to do to Harsin last offseason laid it bare for the whole country to see. They will not be able to get a coach of Harsin's caliber after they fire him; I think their reputation right now is even worse than ours was after Schiano Sunday.
Back in the day, it was more Bobby Lowder (Colonial Bank guy). Auburn was one of the few places where the school's biggest booster was also on its Board of Trustees. Another place where that happened for a long time, probably not coincidentally, was Alabama with Bear Jr. being on their BoT forever. The Yellow Wood Guy who's a big money Alumni of Auburn started that in the early 90s.
Interesting list of schools you compiled there. Georgia Tech looks out-of-place in that listing. Duke should take its place. Also, I don't think Stanford expects to win any more than any of those other schools.I think they care more about winning that Vanderbilt,Georgia Tech,Tulane,Rice and Northwestern do,
