Heupel has to speak out

But it's EVERY game . When has a loss not been blamed on the refs? It just gets tiring. Half of the things people complain about are bad calls. But the other half are just people with zero understanding about football crying. For instance, people were crying that the refs blew the offsides call dead when the player didn't have a free run at Milton. The announcer mentioned it. What anyone with football understanding knows is that when their DE jumped offsides and OUR PLAYER MOVES AND TOUCHES HIM, refs must blow the play dead and penalize the defense. Its just nonstop on here.

It is not every game. The last 2 weeks, absolutely.

You wouldn't have said that if the defender wasn't an idiot.

Eh. If you’re referring to the final play Mertz wasn’t down when he was hit. If you’re gonna have your qb go back there and dance around for 9 seconds he’s fair game. Napier should’ve punted it if he didn’t want to risk Mertz taking a shot. Just my 2 cents but I am full of piss and vinegar right now so that could change tomorrow morning.

I thought it was a cheap shot live. Need to see a replay.

Do you even watch the games? Seems to me like you’re just looking for an argument because the last two weeks have been one sided from the refs and it’s been pointed out by commentators.
Exactly! It's not just pissed off fans! The commentators are actually calling the refs out! Even Herbstriet did tonight which solidified it for me!

This is what’s interesting to me. Herbstreit has a long-standing dislike for the Vols and a deep love for all Vol opponents, and he was even questioning how all the calls went against the Vols tonight.

Yes the Vols were terrible overall, but the officiating the last two games needs a further review.

Exactly! Thank you! These idiots that can't see this are as blind as the refs! Yes we played like crap but the refs the last 2 games have been horrendous!

Vols wet the bed and refs prevented a comeback. 2 things can be true.

My thoughts exactly - the timeout was to force a punt and maybe get a block or bad snap not to get a shot at the QB. Seems a little unnecessary down two scores but sort of defensible.

What was the unsportsmanship? Attempting to get the ball back and hope for a miracle? Did you forget UF having shot last year after scoring a TD with 14 seconds left and making a throw to the endzone?
We were down by 2 scores, with time to run one or two plays, and we didn’t even have the ball. This is not at all the same situation.

He’s not down when hit though. Opportunity to Knock the ball loose or he fakes the knee and runs the next 5 seconds off. Until he’s down he’s not down.
You stick to what you’re hearing and I’ll stick to what I’m hearing. I’d love for my info to be wrong and Nwaneri to rep the power T. But he’s going to Mizzou. We’re ahead of Oklahoma though.

He played to the whistle. What was he supposed to do?

You mean he played to the whistle?
