He's in no position to say much after that poor sportsmanship he displayed.
I missed the game, but saw that replay and the Last seconds Time Out. WHAT THE HELL was that; JH? Totally Classless move, albeit a protest of the officiating, still uncalled for. Heupel has some apologizing to do, the College Football World will use this against him & UT. I am now questioning his abilities. "Got Me"?
I’d much rather hear him speak out on what he intends to do with the quarterback situation. Specifically, I’d like him to speak as to why he didn’t have someone other than Milton ready to go after hooker. He saw what we all saw a couple of years ago. Newton was a fourth year player that not only was incredibly in accurate with his passes, but just never was anywhere close to being in command out on the field.
Yet heupel stuck with him, and never gave anyone else a single snap until he went down with injury.
Think about this… Heupel’s was legit bailed out by the injury to Milton, which forced him to play somebody else. And what happened? Hooker of course proved to be a really good player and never get the job back.
It is shocking to me somebody that is as intelligent and good of a quarterback, mentor as Heupel seems unable to recognize when a quarterback has “it” or when they don’t. Mini if not most of our fans expected to see exactly what we are seeing this year out of Milton
I know everyone is calling for Nico. Yes his upside is thru the roof, but for now I think Gaston Moore would be a better option. I have been impressed at the times he has played and in the spring games. Bring Nico along at a pace that helps for the next three years, not just for an instant lets see thing. I would think that a QB needs quite a bit of time in JH system to be efficient and Moore has that time.I’d much rather hear him speak out on what he intends to do with the quarterback situation.
