The defensive staff has a lot responsibility for that fiasco.
BUT
The defensive players who cannot execute because the MLB is missing is beyond belief.
Even if there is controversy in the locker room, that is no reason to let down yourselves, not to mention each other.

They did not lay down on purpose to sabotage anything.
They laid down before the game began.
They deserve no mercy in practice this week or any practice going forward.
If this is going to be a championship program going forward in years to come, our players need to be like iron forged into steel. They will be weapons, like the players of Nick Saban and Kirby Smart. Not what we have seen. That is the difference between teams that win 6-9 games each season and Championship teams.

The current defensive staff is not capable of developing players to the levels of Alabama and Georgia.

It’s insane that you are having to tell morons that we need to give a coach who beat Florida, LSWho, and Bama in the same year some time. He had a bad loss. Bad loses happen to every coach.
I really don’t want to go back to a Dooley, Butch or Pruitt.
I can live with this guy.
Seriously. Thank you

Man I just can’t get on board with some of the things he says. One of the first things he leads off with is “they have big strong wideouts, we tried man, we tried zone, we just couldn’t stop them.”

I mean, really? USCe has been hiding these big strong guys from everyone but us? They are bottom of the barrel offense.

The only good news for me is that I put a long list of trolls and negas on the Ignore list several weeks ago and I don’t have to listen to their tripe this morning. Looking like there are a couple more that need to join the list.

Josh is a competitor and you can see it in this press conference. He stayed classy and is a big boy but I bet he has some lessons ahead for the squad this week. All SEC had a clunker game or 2 except Georgia and Bama. Bama‘s worst games would be valiant road games for most teams.

He was saying that VN needs to make a corporate apology to SCs backup QBs dad, who tried to warn us @ Rattler.

I'm not arguing that. To claim he's lost the team, and we're going to suck forever now is a bit silly though. I get it, I'm mad. Heck, I'm freaking sick about it sadly, cause I'm surrounded by freaking Georgia fans who have messaged me all night with overrated, and you can't defend that loss. That said, I don't think the coach has "lost" the team. Win Saturday, and we're at 10-2, and I'd guarantee you didn't predict that preseason.
I did. But I have for the last 7 years. 10-2.

No excuse for the defense but, we are the hunted now. Every team is going to get hype and bring their best game against us.

Who did he blame?
IMO coaches need a dedicated fan on the staff to help them make game winning decisions. A fan would have told the Illinois coach to run the time out with the lead and not give the ball back to the team that’s behind. A fan would have told the Baylor coach to run the time out with the lead and not give the ball back to the team that’s behind. A fan would have told our Vols coach to make some half time adjustments. If you keep doing the same thing, you’re going to keep getting the same results.
