Indeed, I would think so as well. My son got a concussion when he and his brother were jumping off their top bunk onto a bean bag chair. The 6 year old missed the bean bag and hit the floor. He was concussed - knocked out cold for about 10 seconds vomiting, couldn’t stay awake, etc- pediatrician said to go to ER.
Vanderbilt Children’s did a CT and before the scan they let us know they were very concerned it would be a brain bleed. If so, he would need to stay at least overnight.
Point is, a brain bleed is dangerous. If he’d had those kind of symptoms or they thought it was a bleed, he would have been taken to the hospital immediately. Highly doubt his parents would have even let him be on campus at all for a few days, much less dressing for football practice.
