They cant deny your transfer request - maybe DrRosen Rosen can take you there -- he seems like a nice enough guy to do that

Made it to Vandy this evening. Ambulance brought me from UTMed. We left there about 8pm and the ambulance driver booked it here, lol. Got brought straight in to a room they had ready for me(pretty nice room at that). Already had several diagnostic tests run and doctor hopes to have most of the results in a few hours. Some tests will take a bit longer as they have to be cultured, but they've been on top of their game thus far. Not sure when my liver doctor will be by, but so far, the doctors I've met have been great.

The doctors treating me at UTMed kept telling me if I left against their advice my insurance wouldn't cover my stay, and I would be removed from the liver transplant list. Felt almost like they were emotionally blackmailing me. One went so far as to call Vandy and talk to my liver doctor. He told her he would rather have me here anyway to keep a closer eye on me. This past week there has really made me second guess UT. My doctors that are affiliated with UT are great, but going into that ER is like Russian roulette.

That's ridiculous. Why would you be removed from a transplant list just for going to another hospital?

Hope you get some good news today Weezer. That sounds like a nightmare. Hospitals can be down right inhumane at times. You just gotta do the impossible and try to stay positive. Good luck man! VN is rooting for you

I was very impressed with Vanderbilt Hospital doctors, nurses, staff, facilities, and even the cafeteria and the food court when my brother was there for his liver surgery. Good luck Weeze.

Does anyone know if weezer has family or a spouse to help him through this ?

I heard him mention his mother, but I've never noticed any other family mentioned.

Weezer, if your reading this I hope your not facing this fight alone.

Good luck to you brother and I throw up prayers for you on my way to work in the mornings. I find that the mornings is the best time for me to give a shout out to the Lord.

I don't want to talk about a man, but he does have multiple people he lives with and several nearby, close friends that would do anything any time the phone rings.

I do know this thread and board are both positives in his life right now and he appreciates all the kindness.
