Hey Kevin Stallings A Message For You!

Regardless if Stallings said that or not, he had a team that started 4 seniors and 1 junior (who just happened to be the leading scorer in the SEC) and another key senior that came off the bench and all he could muster was 1 win in the NCAA tourney. That team has been touted to have 3 future NBA players and all it has accomplished in 4 years is 1 win in the NCAA tourney and 3 losses.

In 13 years, Stallings has won 1 whole SEC tourney when Ky was largely disinterested. That is all he has to show in 13 years as far as titles go. 2 Sweet 16's a long time ago and that is his top accomplishments. Zero regular season SEC titles, zero SEC East titles and 1 whole SEC tourney title. 3 one and dones and 1 two and through in his last 4 appearances in the NCAA's.

So, next year when Candy is struggling to keep their head above water and .500, we'll see who is making the NIT and who is making the NCAA tourney.

And as always, suck it Stallings.

If UT had Stokes the 1st half of the season some of those pathetic losses wouldnt have been on the resume - that said UT had a very decent season - Vandy is headed to the bottom once Jenkins leaves :good!:

Agreed, but I predict they will just stay in mediocrity, like they always have under Stallings.

2nd round of NCAA tournament > anything to do with the NIT

Have some Duke "fan" "friends" that I'd like to talk a lil trash to. What point in the NIT is > having an NCAAT history-making loss to Lehigh?

It should be fun watching Vandy next year. I would pick them to finish somewhere around 13th in the SEC.

At no point is it ok.

A 1st round embarrassment is still better than the NIT.

Duke can say they were obviously one of the top 20 teams in the country all year and still are. We can not say the same.

We are playing for the right to be number 69 in the country.....if we are still in the NIT in four or five seasons CCM will most likely be fired so exactly how much does it mean?

I want to know what you've seen so far that makes you feel like we're going to be in the NIT four to five years from now?

You think the best 68 teams are in the ncaa tourney and the champion of the NIT means #69?

Don't post and you won't embarrass yourself.

2nd round of NCAA tournament > anything to do with the NIT

Not really a fair comparison....

The difference is that Vandy was suppose to be there and go even farther than they did.... I believe they were ranked 7th in preseason polls (could be wrong though)... Some analyst had them easily making it to the final four....

Then you look at UT.... They were picked 11th in the SEC and were an after thought... WE weren't even suppose to be anywhere near the NIT much less the big dance...

I agree that the NCAA is a lot better that the NIT, but I truly believe that UT getting a #1 in the NIT was by far a bigger accomplishment that Vandy making it to the 2nd round of the NCAA considering everything.... JMO though....

The only thing is, Vandy loses Ezeli, Tchiengang, Taylor, and possibly Jenkins. They don't have anyone to replace them. Since Vandy didn't get it done this year, I don't see them getting it done in the near future. It will be fun watching them struggle IMO.

Also lose their starting PG Tinsley.

I didn't say I thought we were the 69th best team in country.....I said we were playing to be the 69th ranked team in the country....there is a reason that guys jump and down celebrating their placement in the NCAA tourney but no such celebrations for the NIT.

I think CCM will get the job done but he has to prove it on and off the court.....The point was if being in the NIT will get you fired than it doesn't mean much.

So teams like UNC Asheville, and Vermont will be "ranked" higher than Tennessee at the end of the season???
