Highly Rated Films That You Didn't Like

Clockwork Orange. I like most Kunrick films but this one was too dark for me.

It's his best movie, LOL. But yeah...seriously dark. The book is a lot better in that regard. Though the content is basically the same, the message has a silver lining, and since it's print, it's not as disturbing.

See. I dont really remember much after Goldeneye.

GoldenEye was the first Bond I can recall seeing, and I liked it before the video game for N64 came out. Once the game came out (97 I believe) I spent many an hour shooting dem Russians. And it just made me cherish the movie that much more.

The Force Awakens + Episodes 1-3= terrible movies

Fix'd that fer ya. Empire, A new hope = nearly flawless classics. Jedi was just decent IMO

Her.

I don't know how long term the appeal will be, but it was nominated for Best Picture 2 years ago and I think won 2 Oscars. I thought it was silly. I was laughing through the "emotional" scenes and I doubt that was what they were going for.

Rated or popular? Either or?

I'd have to think about it but I've obviously never seen any of the Twilight movies. Also never seen Avatar. I just assume they're bad despite the popularity and lots of people liking them.

Same. Just don't look like movies I'd enjoy.

I don't think the Twilight movies were ever critical hits; maybe the first one. Heck by the time the last one came out I think the series was considered pure cheese by most.

I didn't really enjoy the Lord of the Rings movies. I mean the 1st was ok, but the rest of them including the Hobbit movies ended the same way. A bunch of running around with a big battle at the end.

Return of the King was awesome.

I see a lot of mentions of Avatar.

Was it overhyped? Yes. Was it worth the ungodly amount of money it went on to make as a result? Probably not. Did it have an extremely familiar, if not borderline plagiarized, storyline? You bet.

But; somehow, amidst all of that, I still thought it was a good movie lol.

It is difficult to pick one, but the Two Towers is my favorite as well (and my favorite Tolkien novel). But I love all three of the films. I'm not sure if it was critically acclaimed, but the first Hobbit movie was absolutely terrible. I didn't even bother watching the second, and this is coming from a huge Lord of the Rings fan; I read the trilogy every summer. Massive let down by Peter Jackson.

Citizen Kane
Pulp Fiction (strangely enough, love most of the rest of Tarantino's work, just wasn't crazy about this one)
Boyhood
Avatar
The Shining
Scarface
Die Hard
Pan's Labyrinth
Gone Girl
The Grand Budapest Hotel

Gone Girl
The Grand Budapest Hotel

I kept watching Boyhood expecting something to happen but it never did. Sooo boring, it just dragged on for what seems like the 12 years it took to make.

Scarface sucks. He strangley wants to **** his sister and it's just an odd movie. The worst part is when people try to compare that garbage to the godfather
