That's a really fascinating chapter of the story of college football. It involves General Neyland, a head-to-head matchup, and the transitive property of football through bowl games.

We've discussed it on these boards over the past few years, you might be able to find the thread. Do a search based on Neyland, he was the main topic in that thread.

I’m a fan of both. Really a die hard Kentucky basketball fan but even then it is a meaningless downtime. It’s not that serious to cheer for both teams. Kind of strange when people let sports affect their life. Maybe when I was a kid and actually was playing and my team lost it hurt but Kentucky played and looked like crap so that’s what it is they sucked and on to next week. Idk its not that serious to me where I would go into hiding on a forum. Im not on here saying Kentucky is a powerhouse football program and before they shat the bed two weeks In a roll I was in here saying Tennessee would probably win this year

Yea man I’m a UK fan. I’m a Vol fan too. I’m sure as much stalkin you have done you can find where I have stated that plenty of times and did nothing but say positive things about Tennessee. Your hate for Kentucky doesn’t have anything to do with me or how I feel towards either team brother man

This is a very Kentucky-Vandy kind of philosophy about football. My daughters (Vandy grads) think that same way. "It's just a meaningless hobby, something to glance at when nothing else is going on."

But...if you don't take it seriously, if you don't let sports affect your life, how can you be a "die hard" Kentucky fan? Your second and fourth sentences seem to directly contradict one another.

You make little sense, brother. Go away, give us back LittleCat. He was a good dude, and didn't contradict himself very often.

I am a die hard ky basketball fan. I grew up watching every game with the family but at the end of the day it has no ties to my real world life. I was happy when they won the national championship in 2012 and it sucked when they lost to saint Peters last year but it’s nothing more than something to talk about with friends and stuff. I’m a die hard fan but don’t wanna die just becus they crapped the bed the last two weeks😁

He was a wise old VFL. One of the last great memories I had with him was us listening to this song after the 85 Sugar Bowl victory. He made me a tape of it, and I still know every word.

Kentucky fans tore down their goalposts because they didn’t know they lost a game. Racist Rupp and his players cheated and fixed games for the mafia. Four other coaches in basketball there paid and cheated and got probation including the only program to have two death penalties. Then the racists threw cigarettes at Bernard king and stoops even lately played 5 players who where arrested for threatening Uk students. And of course Rodriguez and his fraud for the state for illegally stealing money from a hospital.

Uk is trash and their field is names Kroger field. All you need to know about their whole program. Now go home troll and quit trying to be on a real program’s board. Levis needs a diaper change
