Per Matt Slovin:

Holly Warlick asked point blank on postgame show whether the team has quit on her: "It would appear tonight it did."

If the team has quit, I wish we would decline to play in the post-season. There's no reason to embarrass the program and the university if the players don't want to compete. Just finish with UGA and call it a season.

When the COACH admits the team has quit on you, I just can't understand how you could justify keeping her. Seriously....?

Especially when they're going to be next years players... Same cast of characters, why would we expect a different outcome?

I am rethinking my expectation that Holly is safe for one more season. I did not anticipate such a complete implosion. If they lose to GA and go out in the first round of the SEC tournament (not unlikely outcomes), they could actually miss out on the NCAA bid; even if they limp in as a 12th seed or so, a first round exit would not be at all surprising. If the season follows this downward spiral, it is hard to see how Holly and company could last. I confess to never seeing them lose to LSU and Bama.

The whole assault suit may provide Holly a stay of execution this year. I doubt Hart wants to add that to the plate.

If the team has quit on Holly, as she admits finally, Dave Hart or his replacement has a decision to make: Fire Holly or lose the players?

I vote for the former!

I know everyone is laying this carp on Holly... but man that DD just had a miserable look about her tonight. I think a roster shuffle may be what this team needs. Does not appear that Holly can motivate this bunch... sad to watch. Hell a high school team could hang with this team.

I'm in your boat too buddy. I was all for protecting Holly for a long long time. I can't stand up for her anymore. This has gotten really bad. I think it's best she goes but she may get to come back another season with the lawsuit situation.

We need a fire lit under these girls playing & they are not going to get it from Holly. The girls are absolutely frustrated & you can see it on their faces especially DeShields. It's time for a coaching change but I got a feeling it's not going to come after this season but I hope that I'm wrong.

A flood of horrific records by this LV team. Looks like the dam has burst.

They're getting a roster shuffle. No Bashaara, no Moore and no Jones. Probably no Diamond either.

The players remaining likely won't produce a winning record if Holly is at the helm.

They need a coaching shuffle more than a roster shuffle.

I think the situation with DeShields had dragged this team down. I have no doubt. Maybe it is simple her crap play most of the year--or maybe there is more to it than that? We're talking about a player who's been pouty since the get-go and has not played well, except in a handful of games, all year. We're talking about a talented player who was supposed to be a tremendous asset to this team and instead has become a liability who sits on the bench half the game. 0-7 tonight and 2 turnovers, no assists. I mean, all of our guards have been terrible this year--but DD has more talent than anybody, and her situation has been a disaster.

Would the dynamic be different with a different coach? Maybe, but ultimately a player's performance is the /player's/ performance, and that's true for everybody. Our guards have been mostly terrible all year. Warlick plays Cooper 20-30 minutes a game and she's the worst shooter on the team! You CANNOT do that. Our best shooter does not play--Dunbar with 6 minutes again tonight. This is a terrible shooting team--an embarrassingly bad shooting team--that shot 26 percent tonight and did NOT make one three. We very well might have the worst offense in women's basketball. I do blame HW and the staff for that, mostly but not entirely. When it's this bad, it's a combination of things, usually--in our case: a weak coach, a poor offensive system, some players who simply aren't that talented (our talent has been overrated)--and a star player who spend half the game on the bench and does not score a point.

Deshields needs to leave, she is killing team chemistry, and plays only for herself.

Are you kidding me? Our best overall player on this team needs to leave? Well, you're probably gonna get that wish because she will most likely be transferring after this season to another school. I don't blame her one bit either. Diamond is not this teams problem. It's mostly the coaching & not the players. We have a bunch of high school All Americans on this roster. What does that tell you? It's not Diamond's fault! She's by far the best overall player that we have.

She's aggressive & makes some mistakes. That's true but no more than Carter & some others on this team. How many easy baskets has Mercedes missed? How many times has she missed critical FT's? Don't try to blame this team chemistry problem on our best player. That's just not right! Diamond is a rare talent! We just don't have a coach that knows how to handle her.

Unlikely she transfers and loses another year of eligibiity; if she has aspirations of a pro-career sitting out another year would not help; she could leave school and play in Europe but I am betting that she stays.

It's going to be hard for her to stay being this unhappy. That goes for her & her family. But, I too said transferring would make it harder on her for the next level too. Setting out another year would make it even tougher. I just think she can't handle playing for Holly anymore. If we make a coaching change then she just might stay in Knoxville.

Yeah, Diamond should leave and then we'll definitely get back to winning and "Grind for Nine!" We'll meet UConn in the Final Four and beat them by 20, and we'll all hail Warlick as the second coming of Summitt! I can see it now, if only that terrible player DeShields didn't hold us back so much!

If Epiphany Prince could do it, Diamond can, but Epiphany had money motives on leaving Rutgers early. I wouldn't want to transfer to another school and have to deal with that whole situation all over again. I'd go to Europe and play, then come back for the W.

And that's still better than the rest of the guards, most of whom can't even say they played well in a handful of games in their career, let alone this season.

Holly, like it or not you are the problem and you should of never been handed a job that you had no business getting. You can blame the players all you want but the bottom line is you suck and you need to save the university from further embarrassment and resign. Deshields has no faith in your coaching abilities and I don't think any of the players have any confidence in you. The only person that has any confidence in you , is you.
