Holly should go after the 2 duke transfers

Staley has a loaded lineup next season. If she can't win a National title with that group I doubt she ever will. As a floor coach she is slightly better than Holly not close to the best even in the SEC but she does have the talent and even more than she had this season.

Next TWO seasons. And you're right Natty should be the goal, it sure isn't the SEC.

Gray is a fabulous player and along with Wilson will give you a solid 1,2 punch. Gray is a team player and is also a fantastic scorer. Still remains to be seen how Davis fits in Dawn may or may not have some trouble there. The girl likes to shoot instead of pass and she may not want to give Wilson enough touches. If I could have had either player here at Tennessee it would have been Gray by a mile. If Davis decides to play team ball then you will have a 1,2,3 punch and will be very difficult to defend. Remains to be seen what you got there.

I would agree that Dawn is a better recruiter than coach. She had a stacked team this year and underperformed. If she wins next year, it will be because she has way more talent than everyone else, not because she is a better coach. While South Carolina did win the SEC tournament this year, the competition in the final was Mississippi State. That same crappy Mississippi State team lost in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen by 60 points this year.

As far as Davis is concerned, wasn't there an issue with Davis and Diamond playing on the same team? Don't they (or one of their parents) have some history?

I don't particularly care about the "team ball" concept at this point. What I care about for this particular team is that we have two perimeter scorers to go along with the best frontcourt in the country. Everybody. I mean everybody knows the ONE question mark for our team next year, which is Cuevas at the starting point. Syracuse, Washington, and even Tennessee have shown that everyone does not need to touch, or shoot the ball. The right players need to. Davis basically steps into Mitchell's role. Free pass to shoot.

You don't luck your way into 33-2(19-0). Best talent means nothing, you should know that.

I just think with Dawn's roster this year, losing in the Sweet Sixteen was underperforming. I would have thought South Carolina (and Notre Dame) would have been locks for the Final Four. Both teams had the talent to get them there.

We sure did underperform as did ND and Baylor. The difference is all three teams are trending up. Is yours?

Good for him. If UConn was my team, I wouldn't care enough to throw shots at other teams. I guess this why some people despise their fanbase.

Now, now Cocky Guy, all is good in Cocky land, except for this year's NCAA Title Ouch, but let there be three or four years of Ouches, and Cocky fans will trend the same way LV fans are trending. When you win and make final fours almost everyone is happy, however, when Dawn can only coach up to Elite 8's, eight will not be enough. This is especially true if she continues to recruit top 10 talent. The pats on the back will become kicks in the butt. The line of demarcation will become clear between the pro fans and the con fans. The person who replaces Genno had better be outstanding, or be prepared for a blood bath, and I mean better than elite 8 outstanding. If a coach can't stand the heat, he/she should never accept the head coaching job at a top ten program.

I understand your point but I'll counter by saying that Davis isn't coming to SC to rack up assists. That's nice and all but we want Davis to SCORE. She needs to be a weapon to score while still being able to put other players in positions to score. But she needs to have a score first mentality, same as Mitchell. Anybody that's watched SC ball the past few years is aware that our guards was our biggest weakness.. and that's because we had too many guards unable to score with a pass first mentality... and a few of them found their way into starting roles year after year. Having guards that can't score allowed opposing teams to sag on our post players.. don't get me wrong, Coates and Wilson do great even in double coverage all night.. imagine how well they'll do once opposing teams start having to respect the perimeter?

Davis, Gray, Cuevas.. all of those guards can score. You can't sag off of them the same way you could with Sessions and Dozier.

Dawn's team next year will be better than her last three NCAA teams. And it'll be great for the next 3 years if Stevens decides to come..

But SC isn't the only team that'll be better next year. Baylor, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Louisville, Maryland etc. will all be VERY good teams next year of relatively similar talent levels. And I haven't even talked about Tennessee, who will still have a lineup of DeShields and several all Americans or UCONN, who's falling back to earth but will still be very good.

Next year is shaping up to be one of the most competitive years ever in WCBB for the top 10-12 teams. Any of those teams can make it to the final four.. So I disagree, if SC wins it all next year it won't be because we're more talented than the field (because we won't be) it'll be because of Dawn coaching up her already great talent. Everyone in the top 10 will have great talent next year. SC won't even be preseason #1.. that'll probably be Baylor or ND.

And I wouldn't call Mississippi State a crappy team. Anybody looks crappy next to a UCONN team that's currently playing at a level unattainable by any other team in WCBB. Mississippi State is very capable of giving any team, not named UCONN, a headache.. Mississippi State returns that entire team next year, UCONN does not.. if a rematch occurred I'm sure the MOV won't be 60 points. That's a testament to just how good Tuck, Stewart and Jefferson are.

My opinion is forget transfers we've had several visit and not one has decided to come here other than Diamond and she only came because Cooper was high on us. If Cooper is high in South Carolina then Diamond goes there. Big couple months ahead for Tennessee women's basketball we need players at every position in 2017. 2016 we'll be as good as these players already on the roster make us and some have been here over three years and aren't much better than the day they arrived. I could argue that some are worse than the day they arrived.

Holly has zero chance with either. Salvadores is going back home, and Stevens wants a good coach who can push her to be the best player possible. Like I said, zero chance.

So why would anyone want to go to SC LOL. She cannot get them all on USA!! And she couldn't coach em up this year. She lets the tone be set by Wilson who she cannot get to play hard.

last year, so to imply that she needs a better coach to be good seems ludicrous. Let's not try to scare away everybody, eh?

This post is so full of failure, that it's funny.
