At Tennessee the expectations should never change so in my eyes and most fans no one cares unless you win the last game of the season.

She's TOP 5 in winning% among active coaches.... She posted the best home record the lady vols has EVER seen..... But Ok dude, Shes garbage.

The 2016 recruiting class is crap.

We lost the Number 1 Recruit in Tennessee to UCONN. That never happened under Pat and should never happen.

She will not stay there long. Recruits are seeing the writing on the wall.

Sure she won't, people said that 2 years ago, but yet her best year was last year.... Last year she posted the best hole record the lady vols have ever seen

She still was able to get some good recruits on the legacy of Pat. That has now ended.

She has a record of 24-17 vs ranked teams and I know she's beat atleast 10 top 10 teams. She produced the best home record
The lady vols has EVER seen in a season and she's top 5 in winning% among active coaches. But yea, you're right she's awful.

We'll see if you'll be this optimistic/supporter of Holly at the end of the season. I HAD that same point of view as you, but I had to take off my orange glasses. With the talent Tennessee possesses every season, Holly should not be doing less with more on a consistent basis. Yes, we've been hampered with injuries, but the brand of basketball that is being displayed every season should be much better. She said in one presser years ago, I don't care about offense as long as they're in a stance playing defense. She even admitted they haven't even practiced offense. I can't even name 5 players that have look significantly better as a Senior than they did as a Freshman while she's been the head coach. I wanted Holly to succeed, but things are not looking good as of now and SEC play begins in a few weeks. We all know how bad recruiting is going right now. The product that is being displayed is only confirming with what is being said on the recruiting trail.

Warlick has the same style of play Summitt did... The team has had injuries, and even last year with injuries she posted the best Home record the Lady Vols has ever seen.

Now you're just playin'. :dance2:

I wish that our fantasies could all be true & that last year the LV went 40-0 (surpassing the previous undefeated season) and put another NC banner in the rafters...

but, alas, I don't live in a parallel universe (the one in which GA went winless and had all his NC's rescinded due to recruiting violations...and just for being nasty in general).

But we all can dream, can't we?

Becky Hammon, we're got an orange blazer ready for you!

We have to be realistic and look at the current status of the program:

1) Play on the court is inconsistent, listless and tired. No innovation or imagination on the offensive side, and a continued lack of focus and three-point guarding on the defensive side.

2) Player development is non-existent. Mercedes' skills and drive have declined with each start. Diamond is a shadow of her former self at UNC, and it's not only due to her shin splits. Te'a is lost (so unfortunate because you'd think if Holly could help any position, it would be point guard, go figure). Reynolds is a liability who gets worse every time she touches the ball. Dunbar isn't given a fair shake even though this coaching staff needs an outside threat more than Geno needed Maya's mother to be able to sell her handbags. Carter is forced to play out of position. Middleton is a non-entity. Nia is a waste of a scholarship.

3) Recruiting for 2016 is a massive fail thus far. Holly hasn't sold one prospect, much less any touted ones. This is a major concern because Mercedes isn't developing and Graves graduates. Whew!

4) Luck or good karma. Holly has neither. Her teams have been bitten by the injury bug, and she can't buy an ounce of luck if she was spotted $1,000,000!

I'm not calling for Holly to be fired (yet!) because it would be interesting to see if she gets to coach with a full complement of healthy players at any time of the season, and if so does the team play with better results?

This is a sad and heartbreaking situation for any LV fan, especially those of us who have followed and supported the team since the very start ... I'm talking games at the old Alumni Gym and then Stokely.

We must have hope, but maybe no Holly!

Holly would pee her big Orange panties if her recruiting class this coming year was in the 20's, instead of being a big fat zero. :(

Oh my goodness, a bad recruiting class? No way, OMG we are doomed!

I guess we better tell Butch the football team is gonna be borderline top 20 next year since our recruiting class in around #20.

At least Butch had a class to be ranked. Holly signed no one. In all reality, I wouldn't be surprise if we didn't sign no one or maybe sign only 1, 2, or 3 in the 2017 class. I'm glad you are confident, but they're posters who are very close to the AAU circuits and what I've heard from some does not have me as confident. Especially when you've got coaches sitting down with recruits showing them film of how Tennessee lacks fundamentals, has poor defensive techniques, has no defined offensive system and telling them do not go there because you will not get developed. I been took off my orange glasses.

Butch is far from done with this current class, and he's already filling holes. If you don't think Butch is recruiting better than Holly, you are too loyal to one individual or just turning a blind eye to reality.

Look at the results on the floor. The Number One recruit from two years ago is playing like a two-star wannabe, unfortunately. One of the top point guards from last year is playing in a fog with no guidance in the horizon. The sophomore class as a whole is either riding the pine, injured or under performing. We can safely say Reynolds was a huge recruiting mistake, and Nia a total scholarship waste.

You evaluate facts and results, and Holly's only success thus far in her short HC career has been with Pat's recruits. And in reality, we have Diamond because of the tradition Pat built.

This is Holly's first team with her recruits (sans Diamond as stated earlier), and the results thus far are scary beyond all reason.

People "close to Hurd" also said Hurd was transferring this year... They also said Butch punched Crowder.

Never happened before once Pat got going. Now if you're OK with not landing a top 100 recruit, then go right ahead. But last time I checked, those teams that do are the ones that win Championships.

If Holly was let go or resigned today, I guarantee you there would be no big name schools knocking down doors to hire her. Yes, she had a good record, but no one was confident this team was going to the Final Four even with Harrison. Our offense is just to predictable and our guard play has been terrible over the years. We won a lot of games last season because of talent and athleticism not because of execution of offense. If you honestly think the brand of basketball Tennessee displays is amongst the elite, you either don't know much about game of basketball, a troll on this board or knows Holly personal. Because it has been tough to watch us play for years.

They did have recruiting stats back in the day Summitt started getting going though. So how do you know she landing top 100 recruits?!

Stars aren't everything, many are busts, just like many 2* and 3*'s are great players.
