If he can't recruit for just one year, starting this year, I don't think it will be all that bad ( as in, it could be a sh*t load worse ). We do have solid recruits lined up already.

I really don't care whom we hire as coach. I certainly don't detest Pearl; I thought he did a great job last year and said so many times. But this is unacceptable.

I'm disgusted at what's happened to my alma mater's athletic department. Violations in basketball; still waiting on the other shoe to drop in football. It's time to clean house.

Cal has no conscience. Pearl has one. He lied about his cricket phones...he then felt terrible about and told Hamilton.

Hamilton dropped the hammer on Bruce. This is a financial penalty that is bigger than what the NCAA would normally do.

So Bruce came out and admitted that he lied, or he got caught?

There is a huge difference in the two and I've heard both stories.

The idiots who are still butt hurt about Fulmer are out in force...

The NCAA did NOT uncover stuff here. Pearl came forward and corrected his lies.

Hamilton had no idea what Kiffin and his guys were up to. Hamilton had no idea what Pearl and his guys were up to. I honestly don't care what he knew and what he didn't know; it is time to stop the bleeding. And the place to start is with the guy who's theoretically in charge of this whole mess.

Haye, he did not get caught.

That is why it took the NCAA so long to get back.

He admitted it. He felt bad and admitted that he was lying.

Some of the other maligned assistants were not similarly afflicted with a crisis of conscience...but they are also being penalized.

Everyone lied about the prepaid phones, the NCAA could not prove anything regarding it, Bruce Pearl came forward and admitted that he lied about it.
