They keep rehashing the crap with her and her sister... It's stale. I think it hurts, too, that there isn't really anybody else very interesting in the show right now.
I thought it was good up until they had to go and bring back the custody stuff. Im sick of this whole Franny storyline and the fact that Carrie has to go bat **** nuts at least once an episode.

I havent watched this season yet but is Carrie having a kid one of the most unnecessary moves ever for a show? Her having that kid brings zero to the show.

I actually thought season 4 was really good when Carrie was station chief in Islamabad. Thats what I miss about the show now is the deception of the intelligence services of the CIA, ISI and Taliban and al Qaeda. That scene at the embassy was intense. It also coincided with Quinn still being a bad ass.
Last nights show maybe one of the worst of the entire series. It better have gone a long way to set up 2 great final episodes.
Just read an article that says next season is most likely the last, but they are moving completely away from the Trump parallels and will be focusing on espionage overseas. Especially including the Israelis. To me this is good news.

I really enjoyed the latest episode however I'm perfectly fine with Keen being impeached and staying that way. The woman was awful and acted like a dictator, not to mention there was literally nothing likable about her character.
That's an interesting crux the writers have presented: nobody really likes her, but nobody wants to have our Nation played by the Russians. It's kind of a lose-lose situation.
