Homeland

Interesting way to end the season. Probably my least favorite thus far. Seasons 2 & 4 have been the best IMO.

RIP Quinn. After all that, what a way to go. This season had moments, but a lot of head-scratching, as well.

This show fell off the rails in the season finale. It supposedly has two seasons left but you might as well put a death nail in it. They killed off one of the more interesting characters the show even had. I mean the best scenes in this season featured Quinn. They left us with Carrie, a mostly useless and actionless Saul, and a crazy dictator President. Who in the hell wants to tune in next season to watch that mess?

Yeah, there just isn't much to be interested in, at this point, and I don't know how they are going to make sense of the massive treason plot involving the intelligence community, Dar, and all the other ensuing arrests (including Saul). It's just a mess.

Also, I find the whole custody issue with Carrie's daughter stupid and annoying. Not Dana Brody annoying, but close.

They never should have given Carrie a daughter. It brought nothing to the show.

Never should have made Quinn into what they did this season. They are gonna miss him.

This show is trending down to say the least. What it does best is spy stuff. They should stick to that. When they get into the other stuff is where they slip IMO. Carrie being bipolar doesn't really add a lot to the show either.

Side note, what was the deal with Max showing up drunk? Was that just so the viewer felt nervous during the social worker visit? Seemed out of place and pointless.

I'm watching. It's weird without Quinn, but that cat spent his 9th life.

There's a lot of Crazy Carrie thus far, but I'll keep trucking. I've got to hope they are building something with Saul back in prominence.

I liked last season after being tepid on it 2 seasons

I thought season 4 was actually the best. I enjoyed when Carrie and Saul were both in the CIA and the show focused more on tradecraft than the political arena. I also wish they would’ve let Quinn go out differently.

I don't know what season # they are on but overall the show has gotten worse over the years. The last 2 seasons were the worst.

I thought last season was an up-tick.

I didn't. I am gonna try binge watching the current season instead of watching weekly. Maybe that will help.

Couple of things they did with this show that just made it worse.

1. Got away from CIA stuff and went more political
2. Gave crazy Carrie a baby who is just an inconvenience to the plot.

To me it was much better before what's his name was killed, the main guy. It's still good but it's not in the same ballpark, imo.

Yep

Carry beating the hell out of the creepy hacker perv and then taking his laptop was kind of refreshing.

I’m actually enjoying this season so far, but the whole Carrie is crazy thing is getting old. It will be interesting to see how they intertwine Carrie and Saul this year and if Dar Adal has much of a role.
