I agree. I have never served, so I can't speak with first hand knowledge. I do, however, work with warfighters on a daily basis for my job. I get the impression the military doesn't put up with any shenanigans that would disrupt unit cohesiveness, homosexual or otherwise. If somebody is a significant enough problem, they get reprimanded and/or discharged.
And when an openly gay soldier gets reprimanded or discharged just as any "problem soldier" would be there would be screams of bloody murder from special interest groups and most likely lawsuits as well. It would be very detrimental to the military, very easily avoided if they simply did not allow openly gay people to serve in the military.
