When people look at facts other than what they choose to then they may come to a different conclusion. Bennett has lost 1 game in 2 years. Georgia is a well balanced passing and running team. He plays great with what he is asked to do. He represents what the heisman criteria requires. From a walk on to two undefeated regular seasons and one national championship and SEC championship already. Unless you follow UGA closely you donāt understand how important he has been in their success.
Congratulations though on Heupel winning sec coach of the year and hooker winning offensive player of the year. Well deserved.
I have more of a problem with Duggan than Bennett. Duggan plays in a trash league. Bennett has given us problems 3 straight years when we've played them. More than any other UGA QB I can remember honestly. Hooker should be there, but people continue to believe Bennett is trash because he once was a walk on, but he's been Top 6 in total QBR two years in a row. That's not luck, the little midget can play.He must have been absolutely terrible vs Samford, Missouri and Kent State.
Anyone can cherry pick whatever they want. For Georgia SC, Mississippi ST,ā¦..heck even Oregon wasnāt even competition.
Ok so he had good āmetricsā in a 49-3 beat down of Oregon and vs SC and vs State and had better metrics than stats vs Tennessee OK
He is what he is and what his āentireā body of work shows. His team was WAY better than anyone they have played.
Tennessee has the most rushing TDās of anyone in the country. Yet Hooker still threw for more in less gamesā¦ā¦.and had better everything except total passing yards but Hooker has WAY more yards per game.
Bennett
3425 yards 20td 6intās, 68%, at 8.7 per, 154.6 rating (13 games) 277 total yards per game
184 rushing, 7 tdās, 3.9 per
Hooker
3135 yards, 27td 2intās, 70%, at 9.5 per, 175.5 rating (10.5 games) 340 total yards per game
430 rushing, 5 tdās, 4.1 per
Georgia started the season #3 finished #1
Tennessee started #26 finished #6 (who meant more to their team?)
No comparison whatsoever.
Look at Bennetts body of work. Yāall are crazy to think he isnāt an elite QB.
