I was trying to list who I thought were the elite coaches and hadn't made my mind up if Calhoun was still on that list or not until this tournament as I was wondering if he had lost a couple of steps. He's now firmly cemented on there.
What he has done at UCONN is the greatest program building job in the history of college basketball. He took over a program with less basketball tradition than Providence and has now won more national titles than Dean Smith. He's one of the ten best all time. Period.
And a pompous ass.
Except one is very successful and never banged the moral superiority drum. One guess to which is which...
It took Calhoun like 15 years to reach a Final 4 at a program that is historically probably better than Tennessee. And he only reached one Elite 8 in his first 9 years. 4 Sweet 16's in his first 10 years.
Pearl only got 6 years and had 3 Sweet 16's and one Elite 8

Your idiocy is what is limitless. Let's compare the two:hilarious.
You fight a crusade against Pearl, and call Calhoun a Rushmore coach.
Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.
In an attempt to make a point you showed how clueless you truly are yet again. What kind of "history" did UConn have before Calhoun became the coach? Enlighten us.
