Hopefully, Jim Calhoun Will Finally Get His Due.

This is what I've said all along. If Calhoun coached in the SEC and beat you twice this year, you guys would be singing a different tune. Instead, the guy is spoken about like a God. But noooooo.....this is a fair neutral fan base.
Calhoun has 3 national titles. How many does Cal have?

What are all these comments from you? Like USC is even remotely relevant in football or basketball. The COCKS are the only school in the SEC without any titles, accomplishments or history. You should be traded in for NC State or at least Ga Tech.

They're considerably better than Kentucky at the sport the rest of the conference actually takes seriously.

Considerably better? USC hasnt accomplished anything. Wasnt this the Gameocks best season ever in football and they got beat by UK? It sucks when you suck in both sports.

I'd say we are pretty relevant in football right now. I'm not so sure you want to get into the football argument.

By the way, I need some help. What is 13x2?

USC is mainly a football program, UK is mainly a basketball program. The difference isnt funny, its hilarious.

USC Football Tites - 0
USC BCS Bowl Games - 0

UK Basketball titles - 7
UK Final Fours - 14

UK's biggest accomplishment was making the title game 3 straight years. USC's biggest accomplishment was winning the SEC East once. Yeah, we're all real jealous of South Carolinas history, a real powerhouse.

Tennessee football has been irrelevant for the better part of the last twelve years.

South Carolina football has been irrelevant for that same amount of time... Plus another century or so.

Thanks for playing.

No doubt that UK has a great basketball history. We don't have much, if any history in either sport. That being said, you were saying that our football program is irrelevant. It was for about 110 years, but for now, it is not. We may sink back into irrelevance after this year, who knows, but for now, people look at us and take us seriously. People look at UK and laugh. Some things just never change. And while you are throwing out stats, let us not forget that UK owns two of the longest losing streaks in college football (UF and UT). I expect both to be extended in 2011.

Agreed on the second sentence, disagree on the first. UT has had three or four bad years this past decade, but they have still been in the hunt for the SEC East almost every year. I'd love to be able to say that about SC.

Typical USC fan. You think because you over achieved last year that now every year will be similar. Every fan of your program thinks that....when a crappy team puts together a solid run, its all of a sudden a national title contender. Congrats on making the Chik-fil-a bowl last year and winning a down year in the SEC East. If you think Spurrier will repeat what he did last year, you're nuts.
As for UK and a winning streak, who cares? UK is a basketball school with titles and over a dozen final fours to show. UK basketball > USC football

Let me repeat myself since you seem to have trouble reading. SC may very well sink back into irrelevance after this year. Heck, we may not make it back to Atlanta, but our chances are lightyears better than UK's, and they will be for the forseeable future, as UK will be battling Vandy for the coveted fifth-place spot at the bottom of the east. But rather than sit here and try to talk about the sport the rest of the SEC actually cares about, go ahead and run and hide behind your basketball program.

why would a USCjr fan talk down to a UK fan after they beat your best SEC football team ever?

I don't agree with the century comment.
When Morrison was there, SC was very relevant.

Best coach you guys have had.

He was a very good coach. It's a shame we lost him the way we did.

And I am not excited at all about playing Navy this year. I will always wonder what could have been had we beat them back in the early 80's.

At least South Carolina made it to Atlanta. Unless Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina all drop football in the same season, I'm not sure that's ever happening for UK.

Why are you comparing UK football to USC football? I thought we were discussing the strengths of both programs?
UK just made it to the final four and will be competing for another title again next year (amazing class coming in). USC will just hope to stay in the top 25 and compete for a SEC East conference title....and thats even doubtful. UK basketball > USC football

Your lack of reading comprehension is disturbing. I was never comparing SC football to UK basketball. I thought I made that clear, but I guess I didn't. Now, run and hide behind your esteemed basketball program again. After all, that is the only thing you are capable of doing when football comes up.

Isnt this a thread about basketball? Football wasnt brought up till your post before where the entire thing was about football. But then again if I was a USC fan I'd try and bring football up too.

This thread is about Jim Calhoun. For the umpteenth time, nobody is disputing that you all have a good basketball program. Your football program is a dumpster fire, that is what I am saying. That, and you all will likely never reach Atlanta. Clear now?

You were the first person to mention football in this string.
