I think there is one thing we can agree on nobody is playing well right now, although I did hear the waterboy had a great game the other night against Vandy.

BigPapa......I would never follow you anywhere. Ever. Youve already got your lil ass kissers all lined up, just look at this thread. I am not the dog on the rope in the foghorn leghorn cartoons. I am foghorn leghorn. Find yourself another chickenhawk son. I say boy....

Epic.

Guys the truth lies within effort we are not putting forth much, and consistency. We can't take every third game off. We will play harder against Ky., Just don't know if it will be enough.

lawvol13 you obviously have never watched classic cartoons. Has law school already taken your sense of humor away? It almost did that to me about 30 years or so ago..............classic cartoons and the three stooges saved me.

It does tend to have that effect on people.

People don't need to be bashing the kid, but some on here get their feelings hurt if someone just states the fact that he isn't playing well right now.

Doesn't hurt my feelings. Im a casual UT basketball fan. I follow the NBA more.

Scotty has not played well the last three game. Hurt or not hurt, its almost like he's pressing. Now that Chism is the clear option #1, Scotty is getting out of his game by jacking up quick shots in the half court set. When he lets the game come to him and moves without the ball, he shows flashes of how could be. Nothing short of a Kansas like performace from Vols is needed to beat the Cats in Rupp!

"In class tryna study but can't get my mind off the uk game. Le' Goo"

Scotty's Facebook status.

Sounds like he's fine and is ready to play.

Its not Scotty's fault, a lot of the problem with Scotty is the hype he came in with. He was supposed to step right in a be a super star, Bruce along with the recruiting services really hyped him up and lets be honest he has not lived up to the hype and it doesn't look like he is going to be the superstar player he was suppoed to be.

I don't remember Bruce really hyping the kid, that was the fan base saying we got a one and done kid. Anyone who knew about Hopson realized the kid was pretty raw with amazing physical attributes, but not even close to a one and done.

Unfortunately, when the fan base sets artificial expectations and those aren't met, they feel almost betrayed. I still don't get why people rag Scotty so hard otherwise, though. Scotty has been as I expected he would be-flashes of brilliance with a lot of inconsistancy that is being slowly polished. He's a lot better than he was last year, but still has a lot to work on and needs another year if he wants to be a first rounder.

I agree, but we as fans see the 5 stars and one of the top players in the country and we start setting expectations. Sometimes the players live up to them (Eric Berry) and become legends and some flop and become terrible players (Chris Donald). I think most everyone expected him to come in and be a 20 point a game type player and a type of player that can take games over.

I noticed on TOS that Scotty said as of right now he is a "no-go." This one could get ugly quick.

He's not listed in the injury report here. (Click on the injuries button just to the right of the game date/time)

btw...heavy action on KY has pushed it to KY-9.5
